5. Once Paid IDR 300,000 for a Magic Prop

For those who don’t know, before he’s a gamer and a big YouTuber like now, Tara and Gema had dreams of becoming magicians. At least that’s what they said in Deddy Corbuzier’s podcast. The first time they got exposed to magic tricks was when they visited a magic shop in Bogor.

However, initially, Tara wasn’t interested in learning magic tricks, but he got intrigued by a disappearing handkerchief magic trick in the shop. Got obsessed with the trick, Tara was willing to spend IDR 300,000 to get the prop and learn the trick from the magician.

The very next day, he learned that the magic prop he just bought was actually only IDR 50,000 (in an online shop). Although he just got robbed by the shop, Tara is not disappointed since both the prop and the trick he learned from the magician was quite useful back when he was a performer.

4. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild are His 2020 Favorites

While it was first released back in 2017, Gema revealed that he’s still in love with the Nintendo game, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. In his interview with Deddy Corbuzier, Gema admitted that he enjoys playing the game, to the extent that it got him addicted.

As for Tara, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is currently his favorite game. According to him, the feelings he has when playing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is almost similar to the games he used to play back in the PlayStation 2 era, where almost every game has unique and engaging gameplay. One of which is Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas by Rockstar Games.

3. Suffered Motion Sickness from Playing Resident Evil 7

Surprisingly, while both Tara and Gema are both avid gamers, they still suffer motion sickness from playing Resident Evil 7, which basically is the sensation of dizziness and nausea that some people experience from traveling by car, plane, trains, etc.

According to Gema, the first-person (FPS) gameplay in Resident Evil 7 is different from other FPS games, and it made him sick, and even his older brother, Tara, had to be hospitalized.

"So we were playing at 2 am, and the TV’s a bit huge, and it was PS4 Pro, which means that the graphics are better.  After (playing the game) for a while, that’s it (they got sick)...," Tara told Deddy Corbuzier during the podcast.

2. The ‘Tara Arts Game Indonesia’ Channel is So Lucrative

Although their viewers are not as many as other gaming YouTubers, Tara Arts Game Indonesia makes more than them -- in fact, it’s still increasing. When asked by Deddy Corbuzier, Tara and Gema weren’t sure what led to their success over the rest of other YouTubers.

However, Deddy Corbuzier speculates that Tara’s case has something to do with YouTube’s or even advertisers’ decisions in the ads placements on their videos. It’s also possible that YouTube and the advertisers consider Tara Arts Game Indonesia as an entertaining creator for them, leading to better-paying ads on their videos.

1. Have Dreams of Making a Big Screen Appearance

At the end of the video, Gema said that he and Tara really wanted to work in the movie industry. However, there are several things that make them stick to the reality in doing their work, especially with the whole situation (whether or not it’s promising).

"It’s (a conflict between) two things, ego, and reality. If we go with our ego, it’s a loss. Meaning that we leave YouTube to focus on making this (movie). What’s my baby going to eat," Tara said, thinking about his newborn child. However, Tara won’t hesitate if he receives an offer from Netflix or other services to work on his movie.
