Okiku is one of the Akazaya Nine samurai who fights alongside Luffy and his friends to free Wano from Kaido and Orochi. This time, Dunia Games wants to discuss the facts about Okiku, the samurai who is often mistaken for a woman in One Piece. Have a look!

1. Okiku's Gender

Since Okiku’s debut, Kikunojo or Okiku has often been mistaken for a woman. This is due to Okiku’s beautiful face and her slender figure like a woman. Later, Okiku stated that she is a man at birth.

Another fact that makes her look like a boy is that she is a samurai. Only men could be called samurai, even though she has a feminine voice, she’s still a man.

2. Izo's Younger Sibling

Izo was first introduced as a member of the Whitebeard Pirates, even though he was in Kozuki Oden's flashback with Okiku. There is a story about why he joined Whitebeard. Both Izo and Okiku have similar appearances to women, but we can tell that Izo was a man.

Izo's voice was loud like a man in general, and they are both loyal followers of Kozuki Oden. Even though he sailed with Whitebeard for more than 20 years, Izo never forgot Wano and Oden.

3. Never Leaves Wano

Of all the Akazaya Nine, only Okiku, Kawamatsu, and Denjiro have never left Wano. Meanwhile, Kin'emon and several other samurai go 20 years in the future using Toki's abilities. On the other hand, Inuarashi and Nekomamushi stayed at Zou while waiting for the arrival of someone who could defeat Kaido.

Okiku was actually sent to the future, but she lives in Wano and waits for everyone at Otsuru's place, Kin'emon's wife.

4. Her Armor

Of all the Akazaya Nine samurais, only Okiku fights with a complete set of armor. Usually, Okiku wears this when the battle is serious. She also wears a mask to increase her fighting spirit. This is one of Okiku's characteristics as a samurai nicknamed Kikunojo the Snow.

5. Her Extraordinary Height

Even though it looks normal, Okiku is actually almost 3 meters tall, as she stands for 287 cm. This makes her taller than WWE wrestlers such as Kane (213 cm) and The Undertaker (208 cm). Meanwhile, her older brother, Izo, was 192 cm tall.

This is perhaps not surprising since several other Akazaya samurai also have abnormal heights. Kin'emon is 295 cm tall, Kanjuro is 347 cm, and Raizo is 311 cm because of his big head. Among them, perhaps Okiku still looks normal.

6. Stronger Than Kanjuro

Because he ate the Fudo Fudo no Mi, Kanjuro became a very dangerous fighter. Moreover, he has very good drawing abilities. Any image he creates can come to life according to his will. He can even draw Kozuki Oden so perfectly that no one noticed that is a fake.

Even so, Okiku is still stronger than him in a one-on-one fight. This was seen in her first fight against Kanjuro. In their second fight, Okiku lost because she couldn't fight Kozuki Oden even though he had died a long time ago.

7. Suffers from Mortal Wounds

Okiku had bad luck during the war on Onigashima. First, she lost her left arm after being hit by Kaido's powerful Wind Blade attack. Later, Okiku got stabbed by the fake Oden for not being able to fight against him. Is she still alive? Just wait for the latest episode of One Piece later!

8. Her Actual Age

Physically, Okiku is only 22 years old. But due to being one of the samurais sent to the future by Toki, she technically becomes 20 years older. This means that her actual age is 42 years old. The same thing occurs to Kin'emon, Raizo, Kanjuro, and Kawamatsu who are 20 years older.

9. Her Swordsmanship Technique

As the Akazaya Nine, Okiku has excellent swordsmanship, making her one of the strongest swordsmen in One Piece. Even though she lost one of her arms due to Kaido's attack, Okiku could still fight using a sword by changing her style.

One of her attack techniques is Zansetsugama. With this technique, Okiku issues a slash that flies toward the opponent. This technique was first used on Kaido when she fought alongside Izo.

10. Anime-Only Technique

Zansetsuken is Okiku's fighting technique that is only seen in anime. She used this technique when fighting Kanjuro for the first time. This attack defeated Kanjuro back then.

By pointing the sword above her head, Okiku summons snow around her then goes forward and slashes the opponent very quickly.
