The official website for the live action series adaptation of Yugo Kobayashi's Fermat no Ryori (Cuisson dans le Fermat or Fermat's Cuisine) manga recently announced its 4 new cast members on Wednesday, August 30th 2023.

The new Fermat no Ryori cast includes Toru Nakamura who will play Katsuhiro Shibuya, Rihito Itagaki as Magoroku Inui, Sei Shiraishi as Ayu Uomi, and Emma Miyazawa as Nene Fukuda.

Fumiya Takahashi and Jun Shison will be the main stars in the Fermat no Ryori series, playing Gaku Kitada and Kai Asakura. Fuka Koshiba will play the role of female chef, Ranna Akamatsu. The Fermat no Ryori series is slated to premiere on TBS in October 2023.

This Fermat no Ryori manga focuses on Gaku Kitada, a talented mathematician, and Kai Asakura, a young chef who also has extraordinary talents. After Gaku experiences several setbacks on his journey to becoming a mathematician, he meets Kai who is running his own culinary business, and the two of them start something new together.

Kobayashi began serializing the Fermat no Ryori manga in Kodansha's Monthly Shōnen Magazine in September 2018. To date, Kodansha has published three compiled volumes of the manga, with the third volume releasing in May 2022.

Apart from Fermat no Ryori, Kobayashi also released the Aoashi manga in Shogakukan's Weekly Big Comic Spirits magazine in January 2015. This manga is based on an original story concept developed by Naohiko Ueno. The manga has been adapted into an anime series which premiered in April 2022, and Crunchyroll is streaming it.
