As the FFWS SEA 2026 Fall approaches on Friday, August 14, 2026, one of the season's highlights is the modification of the Champions Rush format. As we know, the Champions Rush format has been a decisive factor for teams aiming to become champions in Free Fire competitions, spanning from regional to international levels. For FFWS SEA 2026 Fall, the Champions Rush requirement has been increased to 110 points.

FFWS SEA 2026 Fall Champions Rush Format Set to 110 Points; Adji Sven Supports Garena's Decision!

Speaking exclusively to Dunia Games (DG), caster Adji Sven expressed his support for raising the Champions Rush point threshold to 110. Aligning with the "BEYOND ALL LIMITS" theme, Adji Sven believes the Champions Rush threshold should indeed exceed 100 points to prevent teams from too easily achieving "Champions Rush" status. "It really should be above 100 points. Given the tendency for aggressive playstyles, a team can be productive enough to score over 30 points in a single game," Adji Sven told Dunia Games (DG) exclusively.

Adji noted that the increase to 110 points would make it harder for teams to reach "Champions Rush" status, requiring them to deliver unexpected performances to hit that mark. He added that if 110 points still prove too easy to achieve, Garena should raise the bar to 150 points to give fans a true taste of "unlimited mode." “Reaching that 110-point mark should be harder, because to get there, a team needs to play consistently across at least five consecutive games,” he said.

“Or, in a best-case scenario—where a team is absolutely on fire and explodes with performance—they could score 30 points in four straight games to hit 120. So, it’s possible to trigger the ‘Champions Rush’ in as few as four games. But surely, you wouldn't just win instantly right after that,” Adji Sven added. “If a team actually manages to pull off four consecutive 30-point games, then next season, the requirement should probably be raised to 150 points.”

“We haven't really experienced unlimited games, rounds, or maps—playing a dozen or more matches in a row. Garena, please look into this,” said Adji Sven.

Champions Rush Threshold Raised to 110 Points for FFWS SEA 2026 Fall; Coaches Back a Longer, More Exciting Grand Final!

Beyond just Adji Sven, other coaches also shared their thoughts exclusively with Dunia Games (DG) regarding the decision to adjust the Champions Rush format to a 110-point threshold. Coach Adi “Adyy” Gustiawan from RRQ Kazu noted that this change stems from Garena’s evaluation of recent tournaments. He believes the adjustment will allow the Grand Final to last longer and deliver greater suspense.

“The shift from 90 to 110 points is likely the result of an evaluation process. The Champions Rush format started at 80 points, then moved to 90 because it felt too short; even 90 points felt brief, leading to the move to 110. This change reflects the evolution seen in previous tournaments. It seems the tension in the Grand Final didn't quite play out as expected, and since FFWS SEA still adapts elements from the Point Rush format, raising the limit to 110 was likely one of the options considered,” explained RRQ Adyy.

Meanwhile, Christian Jonathan “Chrisjo” Pascoal, coach of Bigetron by Vitality, expressed a similar view. According to Chrisjo, the Champions Rush format change for FFWS SEA 2026 Fall was influenced by the outcomes of the Free Fire Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026 held recently in Paris, France. “Regarding the point adjustment from 90 to 110—we likely learned from the EWC, where the high number of matches taught us that stamina, mentality, focus, and maintaining clear objectives in every game are absolutely crucial,” Chrisjo stated.

Adyy added that this change would present a challenge not only for Team RRQ but for all competing teams. He further noted that the adjustment could pave the way for “comeback” moments for teams that struggled during the early stages of the competition. “Overall, there isn't a specific reaction [to the change itself]. Since it’s essentially a challenge, any change inevitably requires adaptation. And that adaptation brings opportunities—not just for Team RRQ, but for all teams—because reaching that 110-point mark isn't easy,” Adyy added.

“Even after hitting 110 points, closing out the game in Champions Rush isn't simple. The matches will be longer, which actually benefits teams that might have underperformed early on; they could stage a comeback in later matches, as the 110-point threshold might only be reached around match 8 or 9. Every team has a chance; it just comes down to how well they capitalize on those opportunities.”

Finally, Chrisjo believes that the shift to the 110-point Champions Rush format will push teams and players to maintain greater stamina and focus. He also anticipates that the increased number of matches will provide more entertainment for the audience, making the competition more exciting. “Is this an opportunity for Indonesian teams or everyone? Ultimately, it applies to all teams; it’s not just a challenge, but an opportunity.”

“It definitely demands more stamina and focus. The hope is that the higher number of matches will keep the audience entertained. The Champions Rush format has proven exciting from the start. Indonesian teams won the 2025 Pre-season, Spring 2025, and EWC 2025 titles—events that involved a significant number of matches and featured plenty of plot twists,” Chrisjo explained.

“However, by the Fall 2025 season, Falcons had started to master it. We saw the same with Buriram at the 2025 Global Finals, whereas WAG faced a situation where the final match count was arguably too low. So, the expectation is that the 110-point requirement will make the gameplay more exciting and prolonged,” he concluded.
