Defeat Malaysia Mercilessly! Philippines Wins 2025 SEA Games MLBB Men's Grand Final
The 2025 SEA Games MLBB Men's Grand Final took place on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, with the Philippines and Malaysia competing for the gold medal. As previously mentioned, the Philippines' chances of winning the 2025 SEA Games MLBB Men's Grand Final were quite high, as predicted by many. However, many still supported Malaysia to make history.
The match was played in a best-of-7 (BO7) series format. In Game 1, Malaysia took an early lead, but the Philippines tried to turn the tide in the mid-game. The Philippines continued to exert pressure on Malaysia, attempting to attack the opponent's base. Malaysia began to feel cornered, but OHEB and KarlTzy's Granger combo disrupted the opponent's base, ultimately securing Game 1 for the Philippines.
Malaysia regained the lead early in Game 2. OHEB's Granger play gave the Philippines the lead over Malaysia. Jaypee and Sanji also effectively used Pharsa and Jawhead as supports in this game. In an instant, the Philippines managed to turn the tables on Malaysia. A teamfight broke out in the 9th minute, and OHEB's Granger managed to wipe out all the Malaysian players.
Moving quickly, the Philippines capitalized on the situation and secured their second point. Moving into game 3, Malaysia began to show signs of change. Sekysss and his teammates appeared to have a significant lead early on. Malaysia successfully controlled key areas, and the Philippines began to feel cornered. Pressure continued, and by the 10th minute, all the Filipino players had been wiped out.
Failing to finish the match quickly, the Malaysian squad opted to retreat. The game resumed, with the Philippines slowly trying to rally. The Philippines managed to steal Lord, creating momentum for a comeback, with two Malaysian players defeated. The Philippines moved quickly, and the Malaysian base was easily stormed. Malaysia tried to defend, but was ultimately repelled.
The battle for the fourth Lord ensued, with Terizla Sanford capturing two Malaysian players. This presented a golden opportunity, and the Philippines secured match point, further increasing their chances of winning the 2025 SEA Games MLBB Men's Championship. Game 4 proved decisive for the Philippines, with KarlTzy and his teammates pushing hard to secure victory. A fierce teamfight ensued early on, but the Philippines prevailed.
Malaysia tried to play more aggressively and pressurize, as in the previous game. However, the Philippines remained undeterred and launched continuous counterattacks. The Lancelot and Granger combo proved key to the Philippines' strength, seemingly unstoppable by Malaysia. The Philippines secured Lord and immediately began to attack the enemy base. Malaysia's defenses were captured one by one.
Ultimately, the Malaysian players were swept aside by the Philippines, and the Philippines emerged as the 2025 SEA Games Men's MLBB champions, maintaining their dominance from previous editions of the SEA Games. Truly, the strength of both countries is remarkable. Congratulations to the Philippines SIBOL Team on their victory and Team Malaysia for the Silver Medal.
