The anime film entitled Strawberry Prince The Movie: A Story of The Beginning ~Strawberry School Festival!!!!~ is announced to debut in Japanese cinemas on July 19. This was conveyed through the release of a new visual teaser to reveal the broadcast date and footage regarding the story in the upcoming anime film. This anime film is inspired by the popular VTuber boy band from Japan called Strawberry Prince (abbreviated as SutoPuri). Details of the film's story are still unknown, only the introduction: "This is the story of the beginning of SutoPuri that no one knows yet—".

Below is a 60-second teaser released on the anime film's official website that you can watch. This film is planned to be screened in more than 300 cinemas throughout Japan on July 19, 2024.

Strawberry Prince is an idol unit under STPR which was formed in June 2016. The current members are Rinu, Root, Colon, Satomi, Jel, and Nanamori. Nanamori has a planning producer credit on the film and is also credited as the original creator under his real name, Masato Kashiwabara.

This group is mainly active on video sites such as YouTube, TikTok, and TwitCasting. In addition to music videos, his YouTube channel, which at the time of writing this article has 2.77 million subscribers, also features live streams of video games and various entertainment videos. They only show their faces on live broadcasts. Instead, they are often displayed as avatars (like VTubers), or have their faces covered in posts or not captured at all for videos featuring their real bodies.

Apart from online activities, Strawberry Prince also releases singles and albums, performs live, and has a mobile game called StrawPri With!! They went on a concert tour in 2022 that took them to five major domed stadiums in Japan and held an arena tour the following year. 2023 also sees their first appearance at Kouhaku Uta Gassen.
