The box office earnings for the anime film Blue Lock -EPISODE Nagi- which was just broadcast on April 19 2024 have now been announced. It was reported that in just three days since its broadcast, this film managed to attract 337,000 viewers and grossed more than JPY463 million (around Rp48 billion) according to the Kogyo Tsushinsha website. This achievement succeeded in making Blue Lock -EPISODE Nagi- ranked number 2 at the Japanese box office currently.

The film Blue Lock -Episode Nagi- opened in Japan on Friday 19 April. The film will have four mini-anime titled "BLUELOCK Extra Time!" after the credits for the first four weeks of the film's run. The anime mini-episodes shown will change every week. This film will be shown in North America on June 28, the screening in Indonesia itself is still unknown at this time.

The film features returning cast and staff members from the anime series. Television anime assistant director Shunsuke Ishikawa directed the film at Studio 8-Bit. Taku Kishimoto supervised and wrote the series scripts, and the manga's Kaneshiro supervised the story. Nomura is credited as the character designer, with Jun Murayama composing the music.

Nissy and SKY-HI performed the theme song entitled  “Stormy” for this film. Where Takahiro Nishijima is a member of the group AAA and does solo work under the name Nissy. Mitsuhiro Hidaka is also part of the band and uses the name SKY-HI for his solo work.

The story focuses on a spin-off manga that focuses on Nagi Seishiro before he enters the Blue Lock facility. This is a Japanese football project that aims to create a striker with 'extraordinary egoism'. Something the Japanese national team lacks to win the World Cup. The story follows the selection of 300 high school strikers, of which only one will become the revolutionary striker Japan needs, sacrificing the soccer careers of 299 others in the process. The manga series has exceeded 30 million copies in circulation today. The anime adaptation itself has been broadcast since October 2022, and the second season of the anime has now been confirmed.
