1. Sleepy Hollow (1999)

It tells the story of a policeman from London who is assigned to investigate a mysterious murder case in a remote village called Sleepy Hollow. There have been several residents who died in this village, and all of them were beheaded. Many rumors say that the victims were killed by a headless horse rider. Ichabod Crane initially doesn't believe these rumors, until he finally encounters the headless horse rider with his own eyes. This film has a mysterious and mystical feel, which is quite idiosyncratic of Tim Burton. You will certainly enjoy every tense action scene in this movie.

2. The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

The first stop-motion animated film gained international fame, and became one of Tim Burton's best works.

3. Edward Scissorhands (1990)

The film stars popular actor Johnny Depp, who plays the titular character, Edward Scissorhands. He starred this fantasy movie along side Winona Ryder. Edward is a synthetic human who has scissors as hands. Then he gets shunned for the unintentional mistakes he causes with his unusual hands. This film managed to get a 90% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and became one of Tim Burton's best films.

4. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005)
