Football Manager 26 officially launched on November 5, 2025, and is now available on multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Epic Games Store, Windows, Mac, Netflix, and Apple Arcade. The Nintendo Switch version will follow on December 4, 2025. Developed by Sports Interactive and published by SEGA, this iconic football management series continues its legacy that began with Football Manager 2005.
Football Manager 26
After creating a personalized manager profile and background, players step into a realistic and dynamic football world where they can lead their favorite club — from semi-professional sides to global powerhouses — and guide them to glory.
New Menu Interface in Football Manager 26
One of the biggest changes in Football Manager 26 is its completely redesigned user interface (UI). The classic sidebar has been replaced with a new top navigation bar, giving players faster access to key features such as player recruitment, tactics, and pre-match preparations.
The game also introduces The Portal, a central hub that displays news, match results, calendars, and important messages in one convenient location. This feature helps managers stay organized and focused on their objectives. Meanwhile, the revamped search function now integrates FMPedia, providing one-click access to detailed information about clubs, players, tactics, and guides — perfect for both newcomers and veteran managers alike.
Women’s Football Leagues Finally Arrive
After years of anticipation, women’s football leagues make their debut in Football Manager 26. The game features 14 leagues across 11 countries and 3 continents, making it one of the largest women’s football databases ever created in a video game.
Using motion capture technology from real players, FM26 delivers authentic animations and play styles. Every aspect — from transfer markets and contracts to injury patterns — is represented with realistic detail. Players can now experience a unified world where both men’s and women’s football coexist under one management system.
A New Evolution in Football Tactics
The tactical system in Football Manager 26 has evolved to an entirely new level. Managers can now create separate formations for “In Possession” (attacking) and “Out of Possession” (defensive) phases, offering deeper control over positioning and player roles.
A new Visualiser feature helps players understand how their team transitions between attack and defense, showing how tactical decisions play out on the pitch. The assistant manager also provides smarter recommendations, helping both new and experienced players fine-tune their strategies more effectively.
With its improved interface, the long-awaited addition of women’s football, and the most in-depth tactical gameplay yet, Football Manager 26 marks a major evolution in the franchise’s history.
