PlayStation 2 fans are surely familiar with the Def Jam series. This fighting is famous for featuring famous rappers like Snoop Dogg, Method Man, Redman, Fat Joe, Mobb Deep, Xzibit, to Ludacris.
Even though this series was a success, the franchise itself is rarely to release a new installment. Last time, this game released Def Jam Fight for NY: The Takeover back in 2007. After 13 years of hiatus, news appeared that the latest installment of this series will come out soon.
The rumor regarding the latest Def Jam recently appeared on Def Jam Recordings’ official Twitter account as the music label that serves as the place where Def Jam belongs. On Tuesday (11/8) this Twitter account uploaded a screenshot of character select screen from Def Jam: Vendetta with the caption “The streets saying we need a new Def Jam game,”.
Feels like teasing fans’ curiosity of this series, this account also gave an additional caption “Once our twitter (followers) hits 1M, we have a special announcement for y’all !”
When this news published, Def Jam Recordings’ Twitter account followers had reached more than one million, but sadly, there’s no further information regarding the latest Def Jam game.
There’s a big chance that the latest Def Jam game is currently in development but we have to keep patience, it’s because, in 2018, this record label once has a vote to decide which rapper that will appear on the next Def Jam’s game cover, but until now, there’s no further news about it.
