Bandai Namco Entertainment America announced the closed beta test for Dragon Ball: The Breakers
News | 29 November
Bandai Namco Entertainment America announced the closed beta test for Dragon Ball: The Breakers for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Registration is open for the closed beta test for the PC version which will take place from December 3 to 4, 2021.
This online multiplayer game that can be played with up to eight people is scheduled for a physical and digital release in 2022. Dragon Ball: The Breakers is an asymmetric action game, in which seven "Survivors" will face off against "Raider", the player eighth. The Raider takes the form of well-known Dragon Ball series characters, such as Cell, Buu, or Frieza, with the goal of defeating the Survivors.
The Survivors, who were sucked into the "The Temporal" layer, were weak characters like Bulma and Oolong who had no superpowers. Instead, the Survivors can use items, weapons, and vehicles to fight and avoid the Raiders while searching for the Super Time Machine to escape. The gameplay of Dragon Ball: The Breakers is similar to Dead by Daylight or Friday The 13th which is very popular with this hide-and-seek-style game.
There will be a character customization mode for Survivor avatars. Each player can get skins and items by using in-game credits or making purchases. Dragon Ball: The Breakers will link save data to Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 as well.
