If you like playing mobile games, especially those in which there are free in-game items, you must be familiar with advertising. Yup, advertisements on the games you play are a powerful way to get you interested in playing them too. Currently there are many mobile games that advertise with interesting trailers but different from the gameplay. So, what are the mobile games whose ads always appear but the actual gameplay is very different? Let's look at the following list.
1. Mafia City
Mafia City is a mobile game from YottaGame. This mobile game allows players to assume the role of a mafia leader, who is trying to compete with other mobsters to become the Godfather. The game is more or less the same as the online strategy game of building and building with various themes, zombie games and the like, but this time with a mafia theme.
However, in marketing Mafia City, YottaGame has a unique way of making an advertisement. They have managed to lure gamers with ad trailers with a Lv. 1 Crook against Lv. 100 Bosses. But in reality, the gameplay presented by Mafia City is actually different from what is advertised.
2. Puzzles & Survival
Furthermore, you must also often see advertisements from a mobile game called Puzzles & Survival. The ad trailer itself shows interactive adventure scenes where each action is dictated by your finger by solving each puzzle. Although it looks promising, but what is served from this game is actually very different. Because Puzzles & Survival actually carries the traditional puzzle genre with a mix of turn-based RPG elements.
3. Evony: The King's Return
You will often find advertisements from a mobile game entitled Evony: The King's Return. Usually this mobile game ad trailer shows a scene where a hero character is trapped and demands the player to free the character and get the treasure. However, the movement that was taken was wrong, so that it made those who watched it excited and felt like trying it.
However, from the footage shown, the mobile game Evony: The King's Return actually only presents puzzle gameplay with the City Builder concept which will feel boring. Because this game will require players to do various tasks that are quite time-consuming.
4. Hero Wars
Next is Hero Wars which usually always appears when you are playing free mobile games. The Hero Wars advertisement is also quite interesting, showing a tower climber scene from the bottom to the top. It's quite interesting when you see the ad, but when you try to play it, the gameplay that is served doesn't match your expectations. Because the gameplay is very simple and repetitive, players will be required to form a party and let them go through each level automatically, except when you execute with special skills.
5. Fishdom
The ad snippet for the mobile game Fishdom is almost similar to Evony: The King's Return, except that the character that appears in the ad is a fish that has to pass through various obstacles and traps. Actually, the ad footage is taken from a number of mini-games in Fishdom. So while solving each puzzle in this game, players will also be presented with mini-games that have similar quality as in the ad.

6. Raid: Shadow Legends
Seeing advertisements for the mobile game Raid: Shadow Legends is indeed very interesting. Appearing with realistic graphic quality and the concept of an interview with a psychiatrist does look interesting, so it will make many people interested in trying it. However, what is presented in Raid: Shadow Legends is really different from what is in the gameplay. In this game players will collect a number of fighters and then make them strong so that they can overcome the power of the enemy army. In Raid: Shadow Legends, players have a simple mission, which is to increase the strength of the troops to be able to outperform enemy troops who are also not weak.
7. Game of Sultans
The advertisement for Game of Sultans comes with a unique concept. Where you will see a number of beautiful characters and are faced with various difficult choices. When you make the wrong choice, you will be shown a scene that makes the character feel guilty or become poor. But what is shown in the ad is very different from the original gameplay. In this game, players will require their players to play actively and periodically, such as completing daily tasks, designing strategies and gathering resources. The goal is to improve the kingdom and other important elements in order to conquer other kingdoms that are around it.
8. Hustle Castle
Next, the advertisement for the mobile game Hustle Castle does look strange, because you will see some scenes that are actually not allowed to be seen by small children. Advertisements of this mobile game mostly contain sensuality, so it makes many people curious to play it. But in the original gameplay, Hustle Castle is similar to the game Evony: The King's Return. It's just that Hustle Castle carries the Medieval kingdom theme!
9. Homescapes
Homescapes is actually a mobile game that is quite popular and has been on the Play Store and App Store services for a long time. However, to attract new players, the developer also made a number of video ads. Even the ad videos that he makes on average use the same concept as ads from all the games on this list. In terms of gameplay, Homescapes is similar to Candy Crush.
10. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang
Lastly, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has indeed become one of the most popular games in Indonesia. But to attract new players, the developer also made a number of more interesting ad trailers by utilizing several characters from their MOBA game. One of the most iconic is the character Balmond who often appears in every trailer of their advertisements.
