In week 8 of MPL ID S15, on Saturday, May 17, 2025, Geek Fam faced off against Team Liquid ID. If Geek Fam emerged victorious, Baloyskie and his team would secure a spot in the playoffs. On the other hand, a win for Team Liquid ID would mean they needed just one more victory to qualify.

Geek Fam reintroduced Kennzyskie as their Gold Laner for this match, while Team Liquid ID kept their main lineup after a loss to Alter Ego. In the first game, Team Liquid ID struggled against Geek Fam. Maykids showcased a strong performance, utilizing Suyou and Zhask with ABOY.

The battle for the second Lord was crucial for Geek, with Kennzyskie playing a key role. Geek executed a straight push while Team Liquid ID attempted to defend. Faviann and Widy were taken down, and Aran fell as well, leading to Team Liquid ID's complete wipeout by Geek, resulting in a win for Baloyskie and his team in game 1.

In game 2, Team Liquid ID regained their footing, taking an early lead, but Geek managed to retaliate and corner The Cavalry. A pivotal teamfight occurred in the 14th minute, where Team Liquid ID surprisingly wiped out Geek, leveling the series at 1-1.

The deciding game commenced with Geek once again taking control of The Cavalry. Despite using the same draft, Team Liquid ID appeared to struggle. Geek Fam dominated in various aspects, securing the second Lord and putting Team Liquid ID in a precarious position.

The defense of The Cavalry crumbled, and ultimately, Geek Fam clinched the victory in game 3, earning a spot in the playoff round.
