HoYoverse has announced the release of Genshin Impact Version 5.6 "Paralogisme" which will be available on May 7. This update will feature the Interlude Chapter of the new Archon Quest, which will take players back to Mondstadt, a windy city now gripped by unpredictable storms.

Two new characters will also enliven this adventure: Escoffier, a former head chef at Hotel Debord whose cooking skills are highly praised, and Ifa, a seasoned veterinarian who always goes on adventures with her Saurian companion, Cacucu.

Escoffier is a 5-Star Cryo character armed with a Polearm, and also the former head chef of the renowned Hotel Debord. His fighting style combines a culinary touch with elemental power. Escoffier's Elemental Skill can summon the All-Spectrum Multi-Use Cooking Mek which can absorb elemental attacks on the spot and prepare delicious dishes, or follow the active Character to continue causing Cryo DMG.

In addition to causing DMG, Escoffier can also be a good support. Her Elemental Burst can heal party members, and both her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst can reduce enemy Hydro and Cryo RES. This effect is even stronger when there are Hydro or Cryo Characters in the party.

Another new character comes from the Winged Flowers of Natlan, Ifa, a 4-Star Anemo Character armed with a Catalyst who can fly into battle with her Qucusaurus partner, Cacucu. This powerful veterinarian can fire Tonicshots at enemies while healing party members, and summon wind currents that pull enemies in.

While in Nightsoul's Blessing, Ifa will increase the DMG of Swirl and Electro-Charged reactions based on the party's Nightsoul points. Relying on her medical instincts, Ifa can also automatically heal the active Character's HP when their HP drops below a certain threshold, ensuring that her party members stay strong and healthy throughout the battle. In the Version 5.6 Wish Event, Escoffier, Navia, and Ifa will be present in the first half, followed by Kinich and Raiden Shogun in the latter half. In addition, Chronicled Wish will also return in this version, starring various 5-Star Characters from Inazuma.

Genshin Impact Version 5.6 will start a new chapter in the main storyline, and bring an amusement park that players can manage starting May 7. With cross-save and Co-Op features, players can enjoy their adventures from PlayStation, Xbox, PC, Android, and iOS.
