To celebrate 20 years of the God of War franchise, Santa Monica Studio has prepared a series of surprises for fans, including digital content and exclusive collectibles. This celebration marks a significant milestone since the game’s debut on March 22, 2005.

One of the main highlights is the free Dark Odyssey Collection update for God of War Ragnarök, available starting March 20 on PlayStation and PC. This update introduces black and gold-themed skins for Kratos, his companions, and all of his weapons. The design is inspired by the classic God of War series and the special skin from God of War II, which was previously only obtainable after completing the game in God Mode.

Additionally, a new customization feature is introduced, allowing players to modify the appearance of Kratos' weapon accessories and shields without affecting gameplay mechanics. Beyond in-game updates, Santa Monica Studio has collaborated with various partners to release exclusive merchandise, including:

• The retrospective book God of War: 20th Anniversary Retrospective (pre-orders open March 17).

• Art prints from Cook and Becker featuring iconic God of War moments (pre-orders open March 18).

• A 67-inch Jörmungandr plush, which can also be used as a hand puppet (pre-orders open March 19).

• A God of War franchise soundtrack vinyl collection (pre-orders open March 20).

• An exclusive t-shirt collection from Insert Coin (pre-orders open March 21).

Santa Monica Studio is also hosting an art exhibition at Gallery Nucleus, Los Angeles, from March 15 to 23, showcasing works from various artists involved in the franchise. Meanwhile, PlayStation Plus subscribers can access several God of War titles for free and enjoy special discounts on the PC versions until March 20.
