GungHo Online Entertainment America announced that it will re-release the Grandia HD Collection, which includes Grandia and Grandia II for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 26th 2024. They will also release physical versions of the Grandia HD Collection games. Check out the trailer video below!

Grandia HD Collection was released for Nintendo Switch in August 2019. The Grandia series collection was originally planned to be released for Switch in winter 2018. The Grandia HD Remaster and Grandia II HD Remaster games were released for PC via Steam in October 2019. Grandia II Anniversary Edition was then updated to Grandia II HD Remaster on the same day.

Game Arts developed Grandia for the Sega Saturn in 1997 and for PlayStation in 1999. The game was later launched digitally for PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, and PlayStation Vita.

Grandia II debuted for the Dreamcast in 2000. The game then debuted for PlayStation 2 and PC in 2002, before launching digitally via PlayStation Network in 2014. 

The story focuses on Ryudo, a mercenary hired to escort Elena, a singer from the Grana Church. Elena is possessed by Millenia, a part of Valmar the god of darkness. Ryudo and his group are tasked with finding a legendary sword to destroy Valmar's remains. GungHo released Grandia II on Steam in 2015.
