1. Do All the Quests

The most common feature in an RPG game is the quest feature that will grant you rewards. Genshin Impact is just like that. In the beginning, you have to complete every quest to level up your character.

There are 4 types of quests in Genshin Impact, Archon Quest, Story Quest, World Quest, and Commission. Archon Quest is the story of the main character, Traveler, in the world of Teyvat. Story Quest focuses on the character development of each pivotal characters in the game. World Quest is missions given by the NPCs, it usually unlocks new locations and new side story. Commission is the daily quests that you do to get a reward from the Adventurer’s Guild

2. Raise the Level of your First 4 Characters

The first 4 characters here are Traveler (our main character), Amber, Kaeya, and Lisa. you will need their ability to complete missions, dungeons, and puzzles in Teyvat. Raise their level to 40. Along the way, you will pick up more characters. 

Then you can start considering which lineup of characters that you want to focus on. But in the beginning, it’s important to raise the level of these four characters.

3. Explore Mondstadt

The world of Genshin Impact is vast. Still, the world doesn’t feel empty because of the things that you can do such as collecting materials, cooking, cleaning up the enemy’s base, or opening treasure chests.

At the moment, the world of Teyvat is split into two areas, Mondstadt and Liyue. It’s best if you explore all of Monndstadt first. Activate all teleportation statues so you can fast travel to all corners on the map.

It’s recommended to walk (run) to your destination even if it’s far because you may encounter a lot of things along the way.

4. Level Up Your Anemo Statue

Anemo Statue is a statue to worship the god of Anemo. The statue will unlock maps, heal your character, and function as a teleportation portal. You should level up your Anemo Statue.

To raise its level, you need to offer Anemoculus that you can find spread out in Mondstadt. The reward for upgrading the Anemo Statue is increasing the character’s stamina, Adventure experience, Primogem, and Anemo Sigil.

5. Make Sure to Mark Your Map

Since Teyvat is wide and that there are many locations that are not marked in the map, Genshin Impact allows the player to mark specific locations on the map.

If you find minerals to forge a weapon, make sure to mark it on your map. If you see a treasure and want to visit it later, make sure to leave a mark. The feature will help you pick up things that you forgot to take.

6. Always Use Original Resin Everyday

Original Resin in Genshin Impact works like an Energy or Stamina in other games. Original Resin is required to get the reward from Ley Line Blossoms, Abyssal Domains, and several Elite Bosses in the game.

Every player gets 120 Original Resin and you will get one Original Resin after 8 minutes.

7. Spiral Abyss to 2-3

After reaching Adventure Rank level 20, you can enter Spiral Abyss. Spiral Abyss is a special dungeon with high difficulty but grants a bunch of rewards.

There are 12 floors in Spiral Abyss. But you only need to clear floor 2-3 in the beginning.

8. Dungeon Raid

There are many dungeons available in Mondstadt, but you need to meet the requirement first to unlock them. After that, you can raid any dungeon you want and get the first completion reward. If you are not powerful enough, you can go co-op with your friends.
