Fate/Grand Order or abbreviated as FGO is a turn-based RPG mobile game developed by Delightworks and published by Aniplex. The game is set in the Fate universe by Type-Moon, and allows players called masters in the game to summon various Servants from various eras and mythologies to fight to save the world.
As a Master, you are responsible for organizing your team, managing your Servants, using Craft Essence, and executing strategies in battle. FGO uses a turn-based combat system with 3 active characters fighting enemies. Each Servant has 3 Command Cards, namely Buster (strong attack), Arts (fill NP), and Quick (crit star). Noble Phantasm (NP) which is the ultimate attack that can be used after the NP gauge reaches 100%.
In addition, FGO also has a rock paper scicor system where each servant has advantages and disadvantages to each other class, here are the details:
- Saber > Lancer > Archer > Saber
- Rider > Caster > Assassin > Rider
- Berserker: strong and weak against all
- Ruler, Avenger, Alter Ego, Foreigner, etc.: have unique interactions
Here are some tips that are very suitable for new FGO players, more as follows, Although the 5-star gacha is tempting, many 3 and 4-star Servants are very strong and easy to level up. Example: Hercules (Berserker), Cu Chulainn (Lancer). Next, don't forget to play the existing event because the event can give lots of Saint Quartz, EXP Cards, and Mats (Material). Daily login also gives important prizes. Use Saint Quartz wisely because the up rate in FGO is very small among other gacha games.
FGO has a deep story. Focus on completing the main story to be able to participate in limited events. Events such as Halloween, Summer, and Anniversary offer limited Servant/Craft Essence events and big rewards. After completing the main story and events, you can continue farming EXP to upgrade your servants to become stronger.
FGO is a game with a strong story, iconic characters, and a deep strategic system. Although the gacha is tight, with wise planning and Servant selection, you can still enjoy the game without having to spend a lot of money.
Good luck fighting for the survival of humanity, Master!
