Bandai Namco Filmworks announced via a new teaser on Monday, December 4, 2023 that its newest Gundam animation project, Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance, will premiere globally exclusively on Netflix.

With six 30-minute episodes, the Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance series will be available to audiences worldwide, taking place on the European Front during the famous One Year War through the first Gundam anime.

The story focuses on the character Iria Sorari, while mecha featured includes the Zeon Zaku II mobile suit and the Federation Gundam mobile suit.

The Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance project will be directed by Erasmus Brosdau. Australian actress, Celia Massingham (DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Ladies in Black), provides the voice for the main character and did the motion capture for the animation.

The staff from Sunrise and Safe House fully produced the animation for Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance using Epic Games' Unreal Engine 5. Gavin Hignight (Tekken: Bloodline, Transformers: Cyberverse, Star Wars: Resistance, Marvel's Spider-Man games) is in charge of screenwriting, while German artist Erasmus Brosdau (Origin Zero, "The Lord Inquisitor: Seed of Ambition" Warhammer 40,000), became the director of the Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance project.

Naohiro Ogata (Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury, Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt) and Highlight serve as executive producers, while Hiroaki Yura serves as producer.

Manuel Augusto Dischinger Moura served as the lead character designer, and Kimitoshi Yamane (Cowboy Bebop, Escaflowne, various Gundam projects) served as mechanical design supervisor. Wilbert Roget II (Mortal Kombat 11, Call of Duty: WWII, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris) is in charge of musical composition.

With a release date announced soon, Gundam fans can look forward to an epic and immersive Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance animated experience.
