The production team for the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed FREEDOM movie project recently announced several new cast members along with visuals of their characters.

In the image above, from left to right, the newly announced cast members and their character visuals are:

1. Kentaro Tone as Liu Shenqiang
2. Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Daniel Harper
3. Unannounced cast as Griffin Arbalest
4. Hiro Shimono as Orphee Lam Tao
5. Yukari Tamura as Aura Maha Khyber
6. Sumire Uesaka as Ingrid Tradoll
7. Misato Fukuen as Redelard Tradoll
8. Yuichi Nakamura as Shura Serpentine

Several of these new characters appeared in the second promotional video for Gundam Seed FREEDOM in August.

Hiro Shimono will be together with other cast members in the "Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Festival Connect Ano Toki o Koete" event which will be held on November 19th 2023 at Bunkyo Civic Hall, Tokyo.

Apart from announcing new cast members, the Gundam Seed FREEDOM movie project will also feature cast members from the previous series, including Soichiro Hoshi as Kira Yamato, Rie Tanaka as Lacus Clyne, Akira Ishida as Athrun Zala, and many more.

The Gundam Seed FREEDOM movie is scheduled to be released in Japan on January 26th 2024, with a story set in the year C.E. (Cosmic Era) 75.

This movie will be directed by Mitsuo Fukuda, who also directed the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed series, at Bandai Namco Filmworks. Fukuda together with his deceased wife, Chiaki Morosawa, and Liu Goto wrote the script for this movie. Hisashi Hirai is in charge of character designs.

With the announcement of these new characters, the enthusiasm of fans who can't wait for the release of Gundam Seed FREEDOM will increase. The movie was announced as a sequel to the television anime Gundam Seed Destiny and is part of the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Project ignited initiative celebrating its 20th anniversary.

Since it first aired in 2002, the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed series has become one of the most popular Gundam franchises and is loved by fans all over the world. With the presence of this movie, hopefully the Gundam SEED story will continue to develop and continue to entertain Gundam fans.
