Level Infinite and developer Hotta Studio announced the next update and expansion for Tower of Fantasy. Titled Sound of the Sea, this update will be available for download and enjoyment by Wanderers starting May 11, 2023.

New Expansion Sound of the Sea

1. New Map: The Deepsea Caverns of the Dark Source

In this expansion, Wanderer will gain access to the deepest, darkest, and most dangerous part of the ocean, The Deepsea Caverns of the Dark Source. Here, Wanderer must upgrade their materials through a prerequisite mission to withstand the very high water pressure when entering The Dark Source.

2. New Missions and World Boss

There will be two new puzzle-solving missions that Wanderer can complete, namely Trapped Patrol Guard and Inactive Surveillance Guard. In addition, there is a new mechanic in this update, namely the difficulty level will increase with the Dimension level and not the Wanderer level.

This will increase the strength of the enemies encountered, but can also provide more rewards from completing puzzle-solving missions and filling chests. Wanderer will also meet Abyssant: Nakya, a new world boss that takes the form of a giant spider-shaped skeleton.

3. Simulacra Baru

The Sound of the Sea update also introduces a new Simulacra named Gunonno. Inspired by her grandfather, Nuok, who was a member of the Exploration Team that discovered the Innars, Gunonno also hopes to become a great explorer.

However, her reputation as a troublemaker and wild personality sometimes gets in the way of his aspirations. Despite his deep understanding of the complicated seas, years ago he persuaded his best friend to go exploring with him, but only Gnonno returned home.
