The Honor of Kings World Cup (KWC) 2025 Esports World Cup continues. After each team's battle in the Group Stage, they now need only secure a spot in the Play-Ins playoffs. Four of the eight teams will advance to the playoffs next week.

Indonesia, represented by three teams: KAGENDRA, Team Vitality, and Dominator Esports, now has only one representative left: Team Vitality. In the play-ins round, Team Vitality will face Gen.G Esports. Please note, each team will only have one chance to play in the play-ins round.

The play-ins round is divided into two categories: Group Kings and Last Chance. Group Kings consists of the teams that successfully advance through the Group Stage with a win. Last Chance consists of the last teams to advance from the Group Stage after an Elimination Match.

KWC 2025 Esports World Cup Results: Defeating Gen.G, Team Vitality Advances to the Playoffs!

The match between Team Vitality and Gen.G Esports will take place on Sunday, July 20, 2025, with both teams vying for a place in the playoffs. Note that both teams will play a best-of-five (BO5) series. This will also be the first match for both teams.

In Game 1, Gen.G secured first blood, with Niel being taken down by Clue. Gen.G then maintained control of the game, but Team Vitality tried to counter with ZhanQ's impressive Luna. Vitality managed to turn the tide and build crucial momentum.

Overlord secured, and Vitality attacked the Gen.G Esports base. The game resumed, with ZhanQ taking down Inua again. Gen.G players fell, and Vitality relentlessly attacked the enemy base and ultimately secured the victory in Game 1. Moving into Game 2, Gen.G regained control early on.

Vitality's play seemed to slacken, as Gen.G continuously leveled ZhanQ and his teammates' defensive turrets. Trying to play defensively, Vitality stretched the game and prevented Gen.G from penetrating their defense. Gen.G secured Overlord, and a straight push was launched to end the game. Despite their defensive efforts, Vitality lost two players, and when Overlord successfully penetrated Vitality's base, Gen.G finally secured the point in Game 2 to tie the game at 1-1.

Game 3 saw Team Vitality take control early on. Vitality displayed aggressive and solid play, particularly with ZhanQ's Dun and Tufzzz's Guan Yu. Zaan's Arli also proved a key factor for Vitality in this game.

Gen.G was barely given any room to attack. Vitality successfully secured Overlord and began to attack the Gen.G base. After briefly repelling Gen.G, Team Vitality remained resolute, and the game resumed. Overlord fell to Team Vitality once again.

A second attack was launched, and two Gen.G players were taken down. Gen.G's defense was fragile. Team Vitality maximized their attack, and Overlord successfully penetrated, ultimately securing Game 3 for Vitality. Game 4 was decisive for Vitality; a win would guarantee their place in the playoffs.

Vitality regained the early lead, with Tufzzz using Fatih as his mainstay hero. Several key objectives were secured, and Team Vitality slowly began to dismantle Gen.G's defense. Vitality secured Overlord, attempting to build momentum.

ZhanQ's Jingg was unstoppable, and Vitality completely overwhelmed Gen.G. A straight push ensued, and Tufzzz's Fatih went wild, devastating Gen.G. With Inua left alone, helpless, Vitality finally completed their victory with a score of 3-1 and qualified for the KWC 2025 playoffs.
