The playoff round of MPL Indonesia Season 15 (MPL ID S15) has entered the second day where there are 4 teams that will compete in the Upper Bracket Semifinals. In the first match, ONIC will face Geek Fam and RRQ Hoshi will face Alter Ego. The winning team will advance to the Upper Bracket Final and the loser will go to the Lower Bracket.

The match between RRQ Hoshi and Alter Ego is a match that is quite anticipated by fans. Alter Ego's victory over Bigetron by Vitality on the first day was quite surprising for many parties, Alter Ego managed to make a comeback where initially being 2-0 behind turned into a 3-2 victory.

RRQ Hoshi as the team that managed to win the Upper Bracket Semifinal Spot certainly will not be careless. The King's struggle must be completed in order to win a ticket to the MSC 2025 Esports World Cup (EWC) before winning the title. Defeating Alter Ego, RRQ Hoshi Challenges ONIC in the Upper Bracket Final of MPL ID S15 Playoff!

The match between RRQ Hoshi and Alter Ego took place on Thursday, June 12, 2025, where both teams will play in best of 5 (BO5) mode. For the record, the winning team will advance to the Upper Bracket Final and the losing team will go down to the Lower Bracket to face Geek Fam.

Playing in game 1, Alter Ego was quite aggressive with the draft they used. However, RRQ Hoshi did not give up easily. Fierce resistance was given towards the mid game. The use of Natan in Arfy's hands and Hayabusa in Rinee's hands was quite optimal, making Alter Ego superior.

Slowly, one by one RRQ's defense lines were disarmed by El Familia. However, the match did not end easily. RRQ was still able to withstand the attacks from Alter Ego, the game continued. Teamfight in the 20th minute made Dyrennn fall, one by one the RRQ players fell.

The conditions were unbalanced, RRQ was cornered and finally Alter Ego managed to get game 1. In game 2, RRQ began to rise, playing aggressively at the beginning El Familia seemed confused this time. Although playing with almost the same draft, in fact, RRQ's strength was superior in game 2.

Twice, Lord managed to fall into RRQ's hands. Straight push was done, Alter Ego tried to defend. Hijumee was defeated by Sutsujin, DreamS was lost, El Familia's defense was fragile but the King still couldn't end it. The match continued, in the 15th minute, Arfy defeated Rinz and Idok.

The battle took place in the direction of the second Lord, both teams tried to get the Lord. Arfy was defeated by Idok, DreamS was lost, Alter Ego began to weaken. Rinee retaliated, was successfully defeated by Toyy and finally Hijumee was left helpless, finally RRQ got the 3rd game and match point.

In the 4th game, RRQ again and again maintained their advantage. Alter Ego could barely breathe, trying to match RRQ's strength, El Familia built momentum step by step. Two Lords were not enough to finish Alter Ego, RRQ focused again on uniting their strength.

Teamfight occurred in the 19th minute, both teams attacked each other. Sutsujin and Idok fell, Rinee and DreamS disappeared. But RRQ took control, Rinz and Toyy got Arfy, Dyrennn with his Hilda took down Hijumee. Victory was in sight, RRQ Hoshi finally defeated Alter Ego with a score of 3-1.

The victory over Alter Ego made RRQ Hoshi continue their struggle to the Upper Bracket Final of MPL ID S15 and they will meet ONIC. Meanwhile, El Familia who went down to the Lower Bracket will face Geek Fam and whoever loses will be eliminated.
