Pokemon GO Season of Heritage has entered a new event called Power Plant. It is said that Spark, who tries to open the mechanisms of the mysterious cave door, needs the help of Electric-type Pokemon. So, the Electric & Normal-type Helioptile is now making a debut in the game.
The Power Plant event runs until February 1 at 10 AM (local time). During this event, Electric-type Pokemon will spawn more frequently in the wild, such as Magnemite, Voltorb, Electrode, Electabuzz, Jolteon, etc. And, in Tier 5 Raid Battles, Trainers can also encounter the Mythical Shock Drive Genesect: Techno Blast Electric.
Keep in mind that on January 24, there will be a Team Rocket event. So, you may want to switch the Frustration moveset of your Shadow Pokemon to a common Charge TM.
If you encounter a Helioptile, use your Pinap Berries so you’ll get more Candy. With 50 Candy, you can evolve this Pokemon into Heliolisk. However, don’t forget to prepare an Evolve Sun Stone, Trainers. This item is also required to evolve your Helioptile aside from the 50 Candy.
This event also brings a new Electric-type move, Parabolic Charge. Currently, this Moveset is only available for Helioptile & Heliolisk. However, there are currently better Electric-type Movesets that you should use over this one. Many expect that this Moveset will get buffed so we can have a wider array of options for an Electric-type Moveset.
