Satan's Slaves is an Indonesian horror franchise from the critically-acclaimed director Joko Anwar. After the release of the sequel Satan's Slaves 2: Communion in August, fans are left wondering about the many mysteries and easter eggs in the movie, including Herosase.
Herosase was featured in a scene in Satan's Slaves 2, when Budiman, a virtual magazine journalist, opens a secret file belonging to his best friend.
On this occasion, Dunia Games would like to discuss the mystery of Herosase in Satan's Slaves 2: Communion. Without further ado, let’s get into it.
Herosase in Satan's Slaves 2
As some of us know, Joko Anwar loves to add easter eggs in his movies, which correlates one movie to another.
In Joko Anwar’s 2009-released movie titled The Forbidden Door, Herosase is an organization in which the members can access and watch numerous sadistic, horrific videos to fulfill their darkest desires. However, the members aren’t allowed to ask questions regarding the videos and any events that perspire within the organization.
In Satan's Slaves 2: Communion, an easter egg that hints at the secret cult Herosase was featured in the middle of the movie when the journalist Budiman finds a seahorse symbol.
According to the YouTube channel Cine Crib, in Pintu Terlarang, the number “42651378” that is written on the manager’s door in the Herosase building, refers to the word “Herosase”.
And, if we put all of these letters in this combination of numbers in an order of 1-8, it will read “Seahorse” — which is the symbol that’s featured in Satan's Slaves 2: Communion.

Because of that, many viewers speculate that it’s possible that the satanic cult in Satan's Slaves is the same cult in Joko Anwar’s The Forbidden Door, which is Herosase.
Many fans also speculate that Father (played by Bront Palarae) might have some affiliation with Herosase as he would often go to the city without saying his real purpose.
Likewise, Mother (Ayu Laksmi) is also suspected to be part of Herosase, and she probably accompanied him in the city.
Herosase is also believed by many fans to be a massive secret society similar to the Illuminati in the Jokan Cinematic Universe.
Bear in mind that everything in this article is just a mere theory as all of them are yet to be confirmed by the creator of the franchise.
So, what do you think about this theory? Do you have your own theory related to Satan's Slaves 2: Communion or the secretive Herosase society? Let us know in the comments below!
