HoYoverse shared the latest splash art of the characters that will appear in the upcoming Honkai Star Rail 2.3. The first character to be revealed is Firefly or Hotaru. She will be a 5-star Fire-element character with the Path of Destruction. While the other character is Jade, a 5-star character with the Quantum element with the Path of Erudition.

Jade looks like a witch who is very good at using her magic. In Genshin Impact, she looks like Lisa. There is still not much known about Jade because she has never appeared once in the story. 

Most likely she will be introduced in the Penacony story after the story in version 2.1 ends. Other characters introduced in version 2.2 are Boothill and Robin. Boothill has also never appeared in the story. Meanwhile, Robin has been seen several times in the Penacony story.
