Heartopia is not just an ordinary life-sim game. Behind relaxing activities like gardening, cooking, and socializing, the game offers plenty of space for players to express themselves. One of its most exciting features is the ability to design your own clothes.

Through the custom clothing system, you can channel your ideas, style, and imagination without limits. This article explains how to unlock the clothing design feature in Heartopia and the steps to create unique outfits you can wear directly in the game.

How to Unlock the Clothing Design Feature in Heartopia

The custom clothing feature in Heartopia is not available from the very beginning of the game. You must first reach D.G. Level 14. Once you hit this level, visit the NPC Ka Ching and purchase a Drawing Board for 2,000 Gold from her shop. After buying it, you’ll receive a short tutorial on how to draw and color designs. The Drawing Board is the main tool you’ll use to create your own custom clothing.

Steps to Design Clothes in Heartopia

After obtaining the Drawing Board, you can place it anywhere in town. When you interact with it, you’ll be asked to choose a canvas size. If your goal is just casual drawing, you can select any size you like. However, if you want to create clothing, you need to directly select the clothing item you want to design, such as a sweatshirt, baseball cap, or other apparel.

You can start designing from scratch or use the built-in design templates. Heartopia provides various ready-made elements like candies, trees, and cute decorations that you can easily add to your design. These elements can be accessed through the last option on the left panel.

If you prefer a fully manual approach, simply choose a color, adjust the pencil thickness, and start drawing. If you make a mistake, use the left arrow icon at the top to undo your last action. Once the front side is complete, continue working on the back and other parts. When you’re satisfied with the result, tap the camera icon to save your design.

Sewing and Using Custom Clothes

Saved designs cannot be worn immediately. You need to go to a Workbench and select the clothing-and-scissors icon. Choose the clothing item you designed, then sew it using Tailoring Tickets. If you don’t have enough tickets, you can replace them with Moonlight Crystals. Once the process is complete, your custom outfit is ready to wear and show off!

The clothing design feature in Heartopia offers a level of creative freedom that’s rarely found in other life-sim games. From unlocking the feature at D.G. Level 14, drawing your own designs, to sewing your dream outfit, every step feels creative and fun. With a bit of imagination and exploration, you can stand out and create a unique identity in the world of Heartopia. So don’t hesitate to experiment and unleash your creativity to the fullest!
