HoYoVerse uploaded a splash art from Jing Liu via its official social media account. Since it has been confirmed that two characters will appear in version 1.3 (Fu Xuan and Imbibitor Lunae), we can be sure that Jing Liu will appear in Honkai Star Rail 1.4. Jing Liu is a 5 star character of the Ice/Destruction type.

In the story, Jing Liu is a former member of the High-Cloud Quintet who has the nickname Transcendent Flash. Despite already having a respected position in Luofu, Jing Liu chose to take a different path to gain greater power.

Because of that, his name was removed from the Sword Champions record. In the Jing Yuan trailer, it is revealed that Jing Liu is Jing Yuan's teacher. In Yanqing's Companion Mission quest, we can also control Jing Liu. Currently there is no Ice-type character that can act as a DPS besides Jing Liu.
