Recently, HoYoverse uploaded a marketing drip of a new Honkai Star Rail character, Hysilens. Hysilens is a 5-star character from Chrysos Heirs who will be present in Honkai Star Rail version 3.5. He is known as the Knight Commander of Okhema and holds the Coreflame of Ocean (Phagousa).

In lore, Hysilens is a formidable warrior and musician who played an important role in the Chrysos War and the first Flame-Chase Journey. However, he died in 3930 and is believed to still be roaming Amphoreus, holding his ocean power.

Hysilens will be a Physical Nihility character with a focus on Damage-over-Time (DoT). His ability allows him to stack DoT effects and explode them in burst damage, similar to the playstyle of Kafka and Black Swan. He can also utilize buffs like Sin Thirster in Divergent Universe to increase DoT damage. With the stacking mechanism and debuff synergy, Hysilens is expected to be a strong DPS or sub-DPS in a DoT-based team.

Hysilens is expected to arrive on August 13, 2025, along with the release of Honkai: Star Rail version 3.5. Its banner will likely be the main attraction in this update. With its 5-star status and unique role, Hysilens is expected to be the main choice for players who like DoT and debuff strategies.
