5 K-Pop Idols who Join the YOASOBI Trend, Is Your Bias on the List?

Oshi No Ko is an anime adaptation of the manga made by Aka Akasaka which has skyrocketed in popularity. This anime, whose first episode had a duration of 90 minutes, surprised many anime fans because the duration was like a feature film for its first episode. This exciting and mysterious story is also one of the reasons many anime fans follow the story.
One of the other interesting things about the Oshi No Ko anime is the opening song for the anime which uses a song titled 'Idol' sung by YOASOBI, a popular music group from Japan whose song even became the number 1 song on Spotify Japan, and currently the song has 122 million streams. times on Spotify.
This song by YOASOBI was immediately popular globally so there was an Ai Hoshino dance trend on social media that used this anime song following the dance performed by Ai in the said anime. The trend is increasingly spreading to South Korea, where this song is also widely used by K-pop idols to follow this dance trend. It turns out that there are many K-pop idols who like watching anime. So, here are some K-pop idols who follow the trend of the YOASOBI's Idol song, do you think you have a bias or not?
1. TWICE
TWICE is a K-pop girl group that debuted in 2015. They are the first K-pop idol to dance to the Idol song YOASOBI using Ai Hoshino's dance in the anime. There are three TWICE members who follow this trend, namely Chaeyoung, Nayeon, and Momo. Apart from uploading their dance videos, the three of them also uploaded other videos which show them doing wotagei moves while holding lightsticks with the Idol song.
Because of this upload, TWICE immediately became the talk of K-popers and weebs on social media. Currently. TWICE has just released their 10th Japanese single titled 'Hare Hare' which was released on May 30. In this comeback, fans were presented with visual members, music, dance, and also a refreshing vibe in the 'Hare Hare' MV.
2. The Boyz
The Boyz is a South Korean male idol group under the auspices of IST Entertainment which made its debut in December 2017. The Boyz itself is an idol group with a total of 12 members, this time, there are 3 members from this idol group who follow the trend of the 'Idol' song, they are Sunwoo, Younghoon, and Hyunjae. The three of them looked compact and enthusiastic about the 'Idol' dance and even jumped for joy and used a heart filter on their cover video. The Boyz is currently busy with their world tour schedule entitled "THE BOYZ 2ND WORLD TOUR: ZENERATION" and Indonesia is one of the countries they will visit.
3. NCT127
NCT127 is a male idol group from SM Entertainment that debuted in 2016. In YOASOBI's Idol song trend video, three members of NCT127 can be seen dancing to this dance trend, they are Doyoung, Taeyong, and Mark. Even though they don't look so good together, they managed to steal the hearts of fans because of their way of dancing based on their own style. The three of them even look so adorable that many fans praise their cuteness.
4. IVE
Wonyoung is a member of the idol group IVE from South Korea. Wonyoung herself danced the YOASOBI song trend when she was holding their first Fan Concert in Singapore entitled The Prom Queen. Actually, during the random play dance session at the concert, all IVE members danced to the song, but of all the members, Wonyoung was the one who stood out the most because he memorized the dance from start to finish as seen in the Oshi No Ko opening.
5. Nmixx
This female idol group from JYP Entertainment made their debut in 2022. However, this doesn't stop them from keeping up with the trends, especially after seeing their sister group TWICE doing the trend too. In the YOASOBI Idol dance trend this time, there are Haewon, Sullyoon, and Kyujin appear to dance to the song. With the camera mounted above their heads, they look adorable when they dance. Apart from that, they also uploaded a wotagei video from the 'Idol' song featuring Lily, Bae, and Jiwoo dancing using their lightsticks.
