Ikimono Gakari to Perform a New Opening Song in Boruto!

Japanese song fans, especially anime soundtracks, are probably familiar with this particular band, Ikimono Gakari. The band consists of Hotaka Yamashita, Yoshiki Mizuno, and Kiyoe Yoshioka is reported to perform a new opening song for Boruto. Their latest single, BAKU, will be the series’ opening song starting January 2021.

Previously, Ikimono Gakari once performed two opening songs for Naruto Shippuden, Blue Bird (third opening), and Hotaru no Hikari (fifth opening). Who doesn’t know Blue Bird? It turns out that Naruto Shippuden makes this band receive the recognition it deserves.

The band’s latest song will play during the Kara Begins arc. The series has entered a serious storyline. In addition to the Naruto series, this band also performed in numerous anime series such as Bleach (Hanabi), Nanatsu no Taizai/ Seven Deadly Sins (Netsujou no Spectrum), and Your Lie in April (Last Scene).
