Trainers in Pokemon GO now can request to built a pokestop to Niantic. This feature applied since some areas don’t have pokestop at all. This feature helps a trainer that lives far from the suburbs so they can create a pokestop near the area they live in.
Countries which has the access to request pokestop are Argentine, Belgium, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Ecuador, El Salvador, German, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Portugal, Singapore, South Korea, Suriname, Taiwan, Thailand, Uruguay, Venezuela, and Vietnam.
Fyi, the first requirement to request a pokestop to Niantic, is to have a trainer with level 40, and the place requested is located in one of the country above.
The time limit to request a pokestop in each country may differ, so make sure not to miss the chance to request a pokestop in the country you live in. The writer now will explain the procedures to request a pokestop to Niantic!
1. Open Request Menu
When you find a location to place a pokestop, open the request menu. From the main menu, go to setting, then choose New Pokestop under the Player Nomination.
There the trainer can see the Nomination Guideline to see how many pokestop can be requested within the time lime. Remember, you need to be at the location where the pokestop is requested.
2. Choose the Location
Upon choosing New Pokestop, a map will open. The place you are requesting is marked with an orange pokestop symbol, while other pokestop are blue. Drage the orange pokestop symbol to the desired location. Then make sure the location you are requesting is no too close to other pokestop, or it will not meet the requirement.
3. Take Pictures
Next, you have to take a picture of the location where you are requesting the pokestop. Take a clear picture of the place and place the main object in the middle of the picture. A low-res picture will not meet the requirement.
Make sure there the picture is clear from a person or any body parts, animal or images with copyright, or the request will be rejected. Fyi, you have to take the picture yourself and not use an image from the internet.
4. Take a Photo of the Nearby Area
You should take a picture of the area nearby. It will help the evaluator to judge whether the place is secure and accessible as a pokestop. Is it possible to create a pokestop on a cliff? The picture is not used for the pokestop but rather for the evaluator.
5. Create a Name and Description
Next step, you create a name and description of the place you are requesting. Ideally, you use the actual name of the location or the object you are requesting. If the place or object doesn’t have a name, then you should give it a name as interesting as possible.
For the description, make sure it attracts other trainers like historical events or something similar. Make sure that you are not referencing HTML or URL. The name and description can be written in any language, but it’s best if you write it down in the native language of your country.
6. Preview Pokestop
After taking a picture and giving the place a name and description, you can preview the location of the requested area. This is your last chance to see whether you have met the requirement before the request is sent to the pokestop evaluator.
7. Sending the Request
There is another step before sending the data of the requested location. You have to explain why the location/object should become a location. Explain why the place is suitable for a visiting place for Pokemon GO trainers. Is the place wonderful? Does the location have historical value? Or does the place great for a short trip?
You can explain all of that in your native language, make sure the description is interesting, so it has a bigger chance to become a pokestop. This information is just for the evaluator and not included in the game. When things are set, then click submit.
You will receive a confirmation email after sending the pokestop request. If your request is accepted, you will receive a congratulatory email. Fyi, not all pokestop requests, even those who meet the requirement, will be included in the game.
The place you requested may appear in other Niantic games like Ingress and/or harry Potter Wizards Unite.
Those are the steps to request a pokestop to Niantic in Pokemon GO. With this feature, trainers that live far from the suburbs will receive the benefit of pokestop too. If you find the article interesting, share it with your friend. Wait for more articles about Pokemon GO on Dunia Games!
