Esports | 17 July
The IFeL SEA Championship competition which took place on 13th-16th July 2023 yesterday at the Point Arena venue went quite well for the Indonesian team. The Indonesian team represented by Dennis Bernard Khu (mobile) and Puspampa Ibrahim (console) advanced to the Grand Final after defeating the Malaysian team in the lower bracket final.
In the final round, Indonesia had to face the strongest team, Thailand, which was strengthened by Master Sirawut Rungratkasikul (console) and Mr. Chomkata Yupraphat (mobile). Unfortunately, Indonesia was unable to withstand the onslaught of the Thai team and lost with a score of 1-3. Despite failing, Indonesia managed to win Runner Up, which is quite encouraging.
On the other hand, the Thai team manager, Bossui, is very proud of the performance of the two Thai team members because they were able to overcome the pressure in the form of very lively support for the Indonesian team. The Indonesian team is entitled to a prize of IDR 20 million as the Runner Up, while Thailand gets IDR 35 million as the first winner.
IFeL CEO Putra Sutopo revealed that around 80,000 viewers attended the IFeL SEA Championship through various live streaming platforms. Seeing this success, he also intends to hold the IFeL SEA Championship again next year which is not only on an Asian scale, but also on a global scale.
