Jason Michael Statham, more known as John Statham is an English actor born on July 26 1967 in Sydenham. He kickstarted his career in filmography since 1998 and became an icon after playing the lead role in The Transporter movie in 2002.

Some of his brilliant acting landed him awards from numerous iconic award ceremonies like Women Film Circle Awards, EFCC Awards and Most Offensive Male Character. Safe tells the tale of an ex-cop who’s on a mission to rescue the daughter of a particular figure from a ruthless mafia group. Directed by Boaz Yakin, Safe made a total of US$40 million and received positive average reviews across the globe and ratings on IMDb at 6.5/10.

3. The Mechanic

The Mechanic is directed by Simon West who’s already a renown director of action-genre movies. During the entire one hour and 33 minutes run of The Mechanic, there are a lot of notable names on the screen like Ben Foster, Jeff Chase, Tony Goldwyn and many more.

As for John Statham himself, he plays the role of a hired professional assassin who ruthlessly finishes off his target for breakfast.

4. The Expendables 2

The Expendables 2 depicts the story of a group of professional mercenaries who receive a mission to recover a particular item at a location where a plane crashed. Directed by Simon West as well, this movie came out on August 16 2021 and made a grand total of US$315 million with positive average ratings on IMDb at 6.6/10.

What makes The Expendables 2 even more iconic is that in addition to John Statham, the movie also stars a large number of iconic action movie actors such as Sylvester Stallone, Jean Claude Van Damme, Dolph Lundgren and Arnold Schwarzenegger among others.

5. The Transporter

The Transporter came out on October 2 2002, directed by Louis Leterrier and Corey Yuen. This one hour and 33 minutes movie tells the story of a, well, transporter who deliberately violates his terms and conditions by opening the package he was meant to deliver. Unknowingly, this leads him to be hunted down by a group of mercenaries who want him dead and the package for themselves.
