Ericko Lim is a name that many is familiar with especially among the Indonesian YouTubers. You may get to know him after he got involved in dramas and controversies. But that is only a small part of Ericko Lim’s popularity.

1. Was a League of Legends Pro Player

Ericko Lim started his career as a League of Legends pro player. He was a member of team Kamikaze under the gamertag Insex. He was the jungler of the team and known for his bizarre Champion pick -- troll pick.

2. Known as a Hilarious Caster

After ending his pro player career, he joined Garena and became as a caster. With good speaking skills, Ericko Lim alongside Abie learned to be a caster, while Xiamphu was the co-caster.

Unexpectedly, the combination of the two made the League of Legends pro scene in Indonesia even more interesting to watch. Not to mention the two often made jokes --  making the matches less boring.

3. Often Sleeps Under 3 Hours

"Effort will not betray the results". Perhaps that is an appropriate motto for Ericko Lim. Even though he seems very happy, in reality, Ericko sleeps less than 3 hours almost every day.

For those of you who don't know, Ericko himself doesn't have an apartment to sleep on. He slept on Garena’s office, Garena didn’t allow their workers to sleep in the office or stay the night. For that reason, Ericko had to get up early so that no one would catch him sleeping there. 

The reason for the lack of sleep time is that he spent his time working and improving his Youtube channel, including editing videos.

4. Active as a YouTuber

While working as a caster, Ericko Lim also uploaded his videos to YouTube and slowly built his channel. After being successful on YouTube, he decided to leave Garena and focus on  YouTube.

Ericko Lim created his own production team which included his closest friends. For the type of content, Ericko Lim doesn't seem to focus much on the gameplay of a game - he uploads daily vlogs and also some hilarious tutorial content.

5. Causing a Lot of Controversies

Being a YouTuber doesn't make Ericko Lim famous for his entertaining content. In fact, he is widely known for his controversial actions. One of the dramas involved Reza Arap Oktovian.

Even Ericko did not hesitate to make a special song for Arap titled Mr. RO. Even though in the end they made peace, this incident still lingers in many gamers’ memory.

6. Convicted and Imprisoned

Not only controversies Ericko was also arrested for using a prohibited substance which got him sentenced. Even though the case was hidden, the disappearance of Ericko Lim on social media and YouTube made many netizens suspicious.

In the end, he was sentenced to one year in prison in July 2019 and released in 2020. After being released, Ericko Lim immediately made a video containing an apology to his subscribers.

7. Involved in a Drama with Listy Chan and Jessica Jane

Not too long after getting out of jail, Ericko Lim got involved in a new drama involving his then-ex-girlfriend Jessica Jane and also Listy Chan, who at that time was still part of EVOS Esports. Ericko Lim is suspected of dating Listry Chan even though at that time he was still in a relationship with Jessica Jane. And again, he created a controversy that made netizens talk about him on the internet.

Not only is it detrimental to Jessica Jane, but the drama also makes Listy Chan have to end her career as a pro player at EVOS Esports. And shortly thereafter, Ericko also made a video clarification regarding his apology and said that his side had made peace with Jessica Jane.

8. The Return to the Pro Player Stage

After being absent from the pro scene for a while, Ericko Lim decided to return by reviving his old team, Kamikaze. The team is filled with League of Legends PC veteran players and a girl, Listy Chan.
