Most ninjas in Naruto rely on animals to aid them during a battle -- from the Inuzuka Clan that utilizes dogs, the Aburame Clan that utilizes insects, to the shinobis that learned a technique from animals.

When learning from a hermit animal, they can summon specific creatures when needed. On of the famous hermit is the White Snake Sage from the Ryuuchi cave; that helps a shinobi control a snake after making a contract with the hermit.

5. Anko Mitarashi

As one fo Orochimaru’s first pupil, Anko was taught multiple snake techniques even information about immortality. When she was strong enough, Orochimaru used Anko as one of his lab rats for the Curse Seal. Anko is the only survivor out of 10 test subjects.

After the accident, Anko stopped following Orochimaru and hates her former mentor; she felt responsible to stop Orochimaru from doing all the crimes as his ex-pupil.

4. Sasuke Uchiha

Sasuke learned how to summon snakes during his time under Orochimaru. Usually, he relies on the power for defense, transportation, or trapping his opponents.

After Sasuke defeated Orochimaru and strayed from his teachings, he is rarely seen using his Kuchiyose or other snake-related technique; except when he called Aoda in the Fourth Shinobi War.

3. Kabuto Yakushi

At third is Kabuto. Thanks to his expertise in healing jutsu and gathering information, he became Orochimaru’s right-hand man. Despite learning a lot of things from Orochimaru, he felt like he lost his identity when his mentor died and went on a journey for self-discovery.

Kabuto finally got what he wanted, becoming the ‘perfect’ creature, by experimenting on his body to look like a snake. He also genetically engineered several snakes like Manda II and more. Thanks to the massive chakra he obtained from Orochimaru’s body, his snake-related technique increases after learning the Sage Mode from Ryuuchi Cave.

2. Mitsuki

A mysterious synthetic human that holds big power since his childhood days. One of his abilities is Nan no Kaizo that allows him to increase the flexibility and elasticity of his body.

His Kuchiyose is a snake that can attack, track, and communicate. Mitsuki also got the Snake’s Sage Mode.

1. Orochimaru

One day, Orochimaru found the skin of a white snake on his parents’ grave. His teacher, Hiruzen Sarutobi, told him that it’s a sign of good luck and reincarnation -- since then Orochimaru is motivated to learn kinjutsu to understand all knowledge in the world.

During his struggle to learn and jutsu and knowledge, he also looks for a method to become immortal; transforming himself into a snake and called it White Snake Power. With that technique, Orochimaru can move like a snake and regenerate by molting.

He can also summon various snakes, such as the giant one like Manda and smaller snakes that he can implant to his opponent to poison them. His greatest ability is transforming into a giant snake using a jutsu called Yamata no Jutsu.
