When playing Genshin Impact, we often unintentionally make some fatal mistakes that may hamper our progress in the game. You need to avoid doing these common yet crucial mistakes in Genshin Impact or you will regret it later on.

1. Keeping the Resin Full

Once you have reached higher Adventure Ranks, you might notice that Resin is an integral part of the game. Resin is usually used to obtain rewards from defeating Elite Bosses or completing a Domain.

Resin replenishes at a rate of 1 every 8 minutes, and will only replenish if you have less than 120 Resin.

However, there are still a lot of players who keep the Resin full at 120, which will only hinder its replenishment. This way, you’ll get less Resin in total per day in comparison to if you always spend your Resin.

If you don’t have enough time to spend your Resin, perhaps it’d be better to focus on taking rewards from Ley Lines, which only costs you 20 Resin.

2. Not Exploring

One of the staple activities in Genshin Impact is the explorations to look for various items to level up your characters or weapons. 

Aside from that, by exploring all of the Teyvat, you may also find chests with valuable items, such as artifacts that you can use as materials to enhance, or a nice amount of Exp to raise your Adventure Rank.

3. Disregarding Chests

Some Genshin Impact players may think that chests are not really valuable since they usually contain low-rarity items. But once you’ve reached higher Adventure Ranks, you may realize how important a chest actually is.

While it only provides you at least 10 Exp, and 20 Exp on average, if you have opened all of the chests, you will end up with a great Exp boost. On top of that, you will also get Primogem every time you open a Chest.

4. Spamming Artifact Domains Before Reaching Adventure Rank 40

Artifacts are one of the most crucial parts to level up your characters. Yet it doesn’t necessarily mean that you need to spam artifact domains as soon as possible to complete the set/pieces you have.

Spending Resins to look for artifacts in Domains is highly recommended, but only if you have reached Adventure Rank 40, as you will have better chances of getting 5-star artifacts.

5. Leveling Up Hastily

Most Genshin Impact players try their best to reach the highest Adventure Rank as quickly as they can without paying attention to the characters or weapons Ascend materials. It would be wise to take your time in this game and to level up gradually while looking for various materials/items for your characters and weapons.

Because every time your World Level rises, your enemies will also get stronger. If you don’t immediately level up your characters once you’ve reached higher World Levels, you will find it difficult to do an exploration.
