For those looking for anime series similar to Tokyo Revengers, check out our list!

1. Koukou Butouden Crows

  • Genre: Action, School, Shounen.

Starting the list, we have Koukou Butouden Crows, an anime that also revolves around boys gangs. It follows the story of Bouya Harumichi, a new transfer student to an all-boys school, Suzuran, a school where only the worst delinquents are put together.

Due to the massive number of delinquents who are hated by the community -- considered as a murder of crows, the school is also known as “Crows High School”. Harumichi is a ridiculously powerful fighter, yet he has an irresponsible personality. How will he act in an environment full of delinquents?

2. Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin

  • Genre: Drama, Historical, Seinen, Thriller.

Another anime series that revolves around gangs -- Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin. In 1955 Japan, ten years after World War II, people are living in poverty. Six teenagers are transported to a special reform school where hardships await.

Monitored by a sadistic guard and a morbid doctor, the school is meant to be a new home for delinquents who are charged with serious crimes. Along with his cellmates, Rokurouta will try his best to survive the torture and hold on to the ‘rainbow’ in each of their hearts.

Similar to Tokyo Revengers, Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin also gives us a different side of bad boys.

3. Shounan Bakusouzoku

  • Genre: Action, Comedy, Shounen.

Next up, we have Shounan Bakusouzoku, which follows Eguchi Yusuke, the leader of a bike gang and a member of his high school’s embroidery club. He has to manage his time between fighting other gangs and making crafts.

4. Ikebukuro West Gate Park

  • Genre: Mystery, Drama.

In general, Ikebukuro West Gate Park is quite different than the rest of the series we have on this list, but it features the same topic; gang culture, delinquents, and friendship. Both Tokyo Revengers and IWGP depict the power dynamics and struggles of gangs in Tokyo and focus on the main characters who try to save someone else than themselves.

5. Boku Dake ga Inai Machi

  • Genre: Mystery, Psychological, Supernatural, Seinen.

This one is quite different than other series as it doesn’t revolve around gangs nor delinquencies, but it shares a similar concept with Tokyo Revengers. This anime follows a young man who travels back in time -- in his younger self, he tries to alter the past to save a girl he loves dearly.

Better known as Erased, this series follows Satoru Fujinuma as a pizza delivery guy. No one knows that he has the Revival, an ability to travel back to 5 minutes before an incident occurs. This ability is triggered whenever he’s in danger. And Satoru never has the power to completely master this ability.

In the first episode, he’s accused of murdering his own mother. His Revival gets triggered automatically, but he travels back 11 years ago. Then, he must save his mother and finds out who’s the real murderer.

6. Steins;gate

  • Genre: Sci-Fi, Psychological, Drama, Thriller.

Just like Boku Dake ga Inai Machi, this anime also follows someone who travels back in time to save a girl. However, in Steins;gate, there’s no element of gangs nor thugs like in Tokyo Revengers.

7. Orange

  • Genre: Sci-Fi, Drama, Romance, School, Shoujo.

Last but certainly not least, we have a series that’s so different than the rest on this list as it doesn’t have an element of action nor suspense, yet it has the same concept -- saving someone from the past.
