Konami Can No Longer Use Inter Milan and AC Milan in eFootball PES
Since the license is not extended, Inter Milan and AC Milan will no longer exist in eFootball PES

Bad news for PES players, Konami has announced that they lost the license to include Inter Milan and AC Milan.
Recently Konami announced that their football game, Pro Evolution Soccer or PES just lost the license of AC Milan and Inter Milan. As a result, eFootball PES can no longer use the name of the two Serie A teams.
It’s because Konami never gets the license extension contract from both teams. It’s still unexplained why the two giant teams from Italy refused to extend the Konami’s license to use their team name in PES. But, this doesn’t affect eFootball PES 2020 too much. It’s because Konami can replace the name of both teams in eFootball PES 2021.
Take a look at Konami’s official announcement via Twitter:
Losing the license to both teams upsets the fans of the game. Especially when Konami is known to have a good relationship with all Italian teams. So it’s unfortunate that Konami failed to get the license extension contract.
Still, not too long ago Konami obtained the license of Juventus and other teams to be included in their game. Konami even gives special treatment for Juventus by using the team’s player, Miralem Pjanic as the cover of the game.
Let’s hope that in the future Konami can get a licensing deal with big football teams. Do you think it’s odd to see a game use an alternate name for a big team?
