On his appearance in DC Extended Universe for the first time, we believe that Ben Affleck will inherit Batman’s role from Christian Bale. After playing in two DCEU movies, Justice League and Batman v Superman. Affleck decided to get out of DCEU before taking part in his solo film.

The empty chair in Batman’s actor making DC fans disappointed because their dream to see the solo movie has to be postponed. But last month, their disappointment is little bit cured after the director of Planet of The Apes trilogy, Matt Reeves, announcing his involvement in Batman movie.

Along with Reeves, Warner Bros also announce few names who will be involved in the movie titled The Batman, they are:

Robert Pattinson

After Affleck quits, many people are asking who will play as Batman. The question has been answered after Robert Pattinson announced to play as Bruce Wayne in The Batman movie.

The Batman movie marks Pattinson’s triumphant return to the movie industry after a few years gone. This British man is previously known as Edward Cullen in Twilight series. Aside from Twilight, Pattinson also starred in Cosmopolis, Queen of the Desert, Life, and The Lighthouse as well.

Until now, there are still a few details regarding Bruce Wayne that will appear in this movie, but according to the interview by Reeves, he said that Bruce Wayne portrayed by Pattinson will look like a detective.

Jeffrey Wright

Jeffrey Wright is not a strange name in the superhero world. Previously, this American man was pointed to voice Uatu the Watcher in Marvel’s What if…? That will be aired exclusively on Disney+. 

Jumping from Marvel to DC, Wright will play as Commission James Gordon, the police who allied with Batman in the comics and various iterations. It will be interesting to see Wright’s performance in the Batman regarding Gordon usually played with a white-skinned actor.

Zöe Kravitz

The world seems destined Zöe Kravitz to play as Catwoman in The Batman. Previously, the daughter of musician Lenny Kravitz has been in talks to play as the cat vigilante in The Dark Knight Rises even though, in the end, she loses to Anne Hathaway.

This will be the second time for Kravitz to play as Catwoman before previously serves as a voice actor of the same character in The Lego Batman Movie. Similar to Wright, Kravitz also appeared in Marvel movies. Not only one, but two films. The first is her role as Angel Salvadore in X-Men: First Class movie and the second as the voice actress of Mary Jane Watson in the Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse animated movie.

Paul Dano

Paul Dano is the latest addition that will be involved in this movie. This actor and musician is pointed to play as Edward Nygma or also known as The Riddle.

Previously, Dano was known as the public due to his performance in Little Miss Sunshine, There Will Be Blood and 12 Years a Slave.

The Riddler is the first villain to be announced to appear in this movie. Previously, The Riddler made an appearance in the Batman Forever, played by Jim Carrey.
