Last week, Rockstar Games just Red Dead Redemption 2 to ride on PC. Today, the company has shared the minimum spec for PC to run this game and new features that will be available when the game comes out.

Minimum Speck of Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Version

To run this game, here is the minimum spec for your PC you should have:

• OS: Windows 7 - Service Pack 1 (6.1.7601)
• Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K / AMD FX-6300
• Memory: 8GB
• Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 2GB / AMD Radeon R9 280 3GB HDD
• Space: 150GB
• Sound Card: DirectX compatible

But to achieve the maximum playing experience, Rockstar Games recommend these specifications:

• OS: Windows 10 - April 2018 Update (v1803)
• Processor: Intel Core i7-4770K / AMD Ryzen 5 1500X
• Memory: 12GB
• Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB / AMD Radeon RX 480 4GB HDD
• Space: 150GB
• Sound Card: DirectX compatible

For a triple-A game in 2019, the specifications needed for Red Dead Redemption 2 considered as high as seen from the required storage that reached 150GB. It’s unknown how long to download this game.

From the graphics, Red Dead Redemption 2 has a minimum spec that is considered very high.

But this is reasonable, remembering the requirements of the game is showed to play in 1080p with 30 FPS.

Meanwhile, recommendation specs, which stated by Rockstar Games, is pointed for gamers who want to play in 1080p with 60FPS. It’s not clear if the recommended spec you can play Red Dead Redemption 2 with a godly resolution for 1440p and 120 FPS.

Taken from PC Gamers, the high spec needed to play Red Dead Redemption 2 is due to many improvements from the console version. Surely the point is to make the PC version more interesting than the console one.

New Modes and Features in Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC

Aside from graphics enchantment, Rockstar Games adding many new features and modes into the Red Dead Redemption 2 PC version. With these additions, Rockstar Games hoped to make the game more enjoyable even for those who played the console version.

Here are new features and modes in this game:

3 New Bounty Hunter Missions

• Herman Zizendorf steals few things from a merchant, hunt him down on Blackwater.
• An ex-confederation soldier, Officer Camille de Millemont, becomes a vigilante, be careful with his underlings.
• Bart Cavanaugh and his men found camping in Big Valley. Apprehend Bart dead or alive without causing trouble.

2 New Gang Hideouts

• Gaptooh Breach
• Solomon’s Folly

2 New Treasure Maps

• Landmarks of Riches
• The Elemental Trail

5 New Weapons in the Story Mode

• M1899 Pistol
• Evans Repeater
• High Roller Revolver
• Le Mat Revolver

There is also a new mission called “To The Ends of The Earth” and a new mounting skill as well. Don’t forget that the online multiplayer which becomes the selling point of Red Dead Redemption on PC compared to the console version.
