Telkomsel through Dunia Games officially announce the peak event of Dunia Games Awards (DGA) 2021 in Jakarta that will be streamed live exclusively on MAXstream, Dunia Games YouTube channel, and Telkomsel, on Thursday, (23/12). In this program, Telkomsel will announce and will give awards to the winners under the Lifetime Achievement Award and other 16 categories in DGA 2021 based on the result of the people’s choice through voting at dgawards.duniagames.co.id from December 1 to 14, 2021.

Nirwan Lesmana as the Vice President of Digital Lifestyle Telkomsel said, "Telkomsel and Dunia Games would like to say thank you to all people who have won DGA 2021 on each category. Hopefully, this awarding program can be positively received by all parties and could become a stimulus to keep on working, achieve more, and contribute more to the development of the Indonesian video game industry and esports. The holding of DGA 2021 is not just an appreciation from Telkomsel, but also open for a more collaboration chance for all elements in the industry by using an integrated technology solution to push the development of the Indonesian creative economy.” 

During the DGA 2021, Telkomsel gives appreciation to gamers, professional esports athletes, content creators, esports organizers, publishers and local video game developers, celebrity gamers, to esports fans clubs that will be divided into 17 categories.

Besides the awarding ceremony to the winners, DGA 2021 will also have various performances that can be enjoyed by video game enthusiasts and Indonesian people, where this event is held as a thing to hook the general public to dive into the gaming ecosystem in the nation. Various performances that will be presented are charity fun matches, cosplay parades, to music performances.

At this moment, Telkomsel through video-on-demand content platform MAXstream is also presenting an original documenter content titled "Indonesian Esports Legend - Push It Down!" that can be watched exclusively on MAXstream. Through the original content, Telkomsel wants to show the development of the video game and esports industry in Indonesia which was previously underestimated until it can grow up as one of the sectors that contributed to the Gross Domestic Income (GDI) in 2020. The release of this documentary is one of the appreciations as well as inspiration for all entities in the industry to move forward in strengthening national games and esports ecosystems for the advancement of the country.
