Just as previously reported, game company Konami feels that the future of the gaming industry lies in mobile games. Even when they state that they will not leave the consoles anytime soon, but in reality, there are fewer consoles only game that Konami released. This becomes more apparent after Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) is confirmed to be absent on Nintendo Switch this year.

This was said by Lennart Bonzein, PES Brand Manager, in his interview with sporting media RealSport. Bonzein stated that their company has a close relationship with Nintendo but sadly Konami will not launch their latest PES game on Switch. 

“I like Switch. I think it’s an amazing console. As a company, we are aware of its existence, we released Bomberman and Contra for Switch. For PES, some factors make this game only available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC,” Bonzein Explained

This year, PES has some big changes. Starting from changing its name to eFootball PES 2020, PES also took a daring step and bought a couple of exclusives license of football teams such as Barcelona, Manchester United and Juventus. They hope this will make PES more worth it than its rival game FIFA 20.

In its competition with FIFA, Konami’s decision to not release PES on Switch can be said as uniques because FIFA 20 is the only EA game that will be released on Switch. While PES is the only Konami game not released on Switch.
