On Friday (08/07), the August edition of Newtype Kadokawa announced that Aka Akasaka’s Kaguya-sama: Love is War is getting an anime movie adaptation titled Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: First Kiss wa Owaranai (Kaguya-sama: Love is War: The First Kiss Never Ends), which will cover the storyline of the manga of the same name. The story will take place after the events of the third season of the series.

Although the release date of the movie adaptation is yet to be announced, the Kaguya-sama Love Is War manga also reportedly has 14 chapters remaining. This means the manga will end in October 2022. The special 1-hour-long finale episode of the third season has just aired on 24 June. Whereas the third season had been airing since 9 April 2022.

Kaguya-sama Love Is War is a manga created by Aka Akasaka, first released in 2015, the series was first released in January 2019, produced by A-1 Pictures, and directed by Mamoru Hatakayama. The manga entered its final arc in October 2021.

The series follows Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane, two students and the top two representatives of the student body. Even though both of them have feelings for each other, they’re too proud to be the first to express their feelings. Then, a rivalry on pushing the other one to confess their feelings begins. The romantic-comedy elements of this series managed to attract viewers, making Kaguya-sama Love Is War a favorite series for many anime fans.
