He realized that he must train harder to protect the people he loves. Granted, Luffy remains a careless individual, but he is much stronger, wiser nowadays and knows when to take a situation seriously and use his abilities wisely.

4. Takemichi Hanagaki, Tokyo Revengers

Tokyo Revengers is one of the unique anime as the main protagonist is not the typical cool character nor is he a strong fighter. At the beginning of the story, Takemichi is a timid character who tends to walk away from getting involved in any kind of conflict.

However, Takemichi eventually corrects himself, and is able to muster up the courage to go up against some of the most powerful characters. Even when he's on the verge of death, he refuses to back down and never gives up.

5. Bakugo Katsuki, Boku no Hero Academia

Since the beginning, Bakugo has been treating Midoriya badly, even calling him "Deku", despite Midoriya always helping and supporting him.

But over time, Bakugo's bad behaviors began to wash away. Bakugo never understands why Midoriya wants to help him so badly, which has caused him to ignore his own fear of weakness.

To make up for what he did to Deku during his childhood, he wants to stand by his side and support him in both his training and hero duties. Now, Bakugo cares deeply about Deku.
