Strongest Demon Slayers

10. Shinobu Kocho

At number ten, we have the current Insect Hashira, Shinobu Kocho. Shinobu may seem easygoing and friendly -- but that’s just a facade that covers her ruthlessness.

As a user of the Insect Breathing style, Shinobu wields a sword that doesn’t really do that much damage, yet she amplifies her attacks with a deadly poison that instantly kills Demons.

9. Mitsuri Kanroji

Another powerful character in Kimetsu no Yaiba who has a deceiving appearance is Mitsuri Kanroji. The Love Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps is a shy, sensitive, and cheerful girl. Yet she has muscles that are way stronger than normal humans despite her thin body.

As the user of the Love Breathing style, Kanroji wields a unique sword that only she can wield. Her sword is extremely thin and soft. This is why she uses it as some sort of a whip. 

Kanroji is also one of the fastest Hashiras in Kimetsu no Yaiba.

8. Zenitsu Agatsuma

You may object to seeing Zenitsu on this list of the most powerful characters given that he may be the only member of the Demon Slayer Corps who lacks motivation. He tends to hit on girls and asks them to marry him so that he can quit the Demon Slayer Corps.

However, Zenitsu is not someone that you can trifle with. When he loses his consciousness, his instinct takes over, and uses the Thunder Breathing technique to unleash deadly attacks, although he’s only mastered the first form of Thunder Breathing technique.

7. Tengen Uzui

Just from a glance, most viewers would already know that Tengen Uzui is one of the strongest characters in Kimetsu no Yaiba. The flamboyant Demon Slayer comes from a long line of shinobis, yet he doesn’t share the same values with his family and sees shinobis as people who are being used as tools. So, he decided to join the Demon Slayer Corps to become the Sound Hashira.

Tengen has remarkable strength and can move incredibly fast thanks to his Sound Breathing style. Tengen can even execute multiple demons before they had the chance to react.

6. Kyojuro Rengoku

Kyojuro Rengoku is the loudest and the most cheerful among the other Hashiras. His Flame Breathing style allows him to engulf Demons in flame.

In fights, Kyojuro is able to fight Demons while also protecting hundreds of passengers on a train. He even fought an Upper Moon Demon named Akaza. 

5. Tanjiro Kamado

As the main protagonist of the series, Tanjiro is definitely one of the most powerful characters in Kimetsu no Yaiba. He became a Demon Slayer to hunt the Demons that slaughtered his entire family and turn her sister into a Demon. 

With his Water Breathing style and Dance of the Fire God, which can only be used by the Kamados, Tanjiro can slain Demons with ease.

4. Muichiro Tokito

The looks of this character may be deceiving for most viewers, but the long-haired, feminine Muichiro Tokito, this character is actually a boy!

Muichiro Tokito appears to be a cold person and can be ignorant, but he’s actually one of the most powerful characters in the series.

Muichiro Tokito is a Mist Hashira and a user of the Mist Breathing techniques, which are derived from the Wind Breathing style. Since he’s a master of the techniques, he has no trouble dealing with Upper Moon Demons.

3. Sanemi Shinazugawa

Sanemi Shinazugawa is an abrasive and cold-headed character. During his first encounter with Nezuko, Sanemi tried to hurt Nezuko. Despite his tough looks, Sanemi is actually one of the strongest Hashiras!

Sanemi Shinazugawa is a Wind Hashira who’s a master of the Wind Breathing style. Even hundreds-year-old Upper Rank 1 Demons acknowledge his powers. Sanemi is undoubtedly one of the most powerful characters.

2. Giyuu Tomioka

In the first episode of Kimetsu no Yaiba, Giyuu Tomioka is the first Demon Slayer Tanjirou Kamado meets. Giyuu Tomioka may not be the most social person as he has no friends, but the Hashiras acknowledge Giyuu as the strongest among them.

As the Water Hashira, Giyuu is a master of the Water Breathing style. Giyuu’s exceptionally skillful, he can defeat the Lower Moon Demon, Rui, without breaking a sweat. Akaza also said that Giyuu’s the most skillful Water Hashira he’s ever met in the last 50 years.

1. Gyomei Himejima

The Stone Hashira, Gyomei Himejima may seem week, yet don’t let his appearance fools you. While other Demon Slayers use the Nichirin swords, Gyomei wields a spiked flail and ax. Despite his blindness, Gyomei can combine his powers with the Stone Breathing style. So, Gyomei is clearly one of the most powerful Hashiras.

Tanjirou and Inosuke also consider Gyomei as the strongest Hashira ever existed. Kokushibou, the Upper Moon Demon, also said that Gyomei’s physical prowess and powers had been trained to reach the limit and believed that he has never met someone like Gyomei for the last 300 years.

10. Enmu

As one of the Twelve Demons, Enmu has increased speed and reflexes, he can dodge attacks with ease. Enmu can also manipulate his own flesh, fusing himself to an object, and even splits himself to trick his enemies. 

With his Blood Demon Art, he can manipulate dreams and put his target asleep.

9. Kaigaku

Kaigaku was a former Demon Slayer and Zenitsu Agatsuma’s senior disciple under the former Thunder Hashira. As a former Demon Slayer, Kaigaku is definitely one of the strongest Upper Moon Demons. He can use his Thunder Breathing style and generate lightning using his Blood Demon Art.

8. Gyokko

Gyokko, the Upper Rank 5 Demon, is a humanoid figure with multiple infant-like hands on his back. With his Blood Demon Art, Gyokko can manipulate water and turn objects into his fish-like demons.

7. Hantengu

Hantengu is one of the Upper Moon Demons and the only Demon who can create up to six clones of him, each with different abilities. He can manipulate light, wind, soundwaves, wood, and even create a Yari spear. He can even merge his demons into a single powerful entity with amplified abilities.

6. Nakime

At number six, we have Nakime, a dweller of the Infinity Castle who can manipulate and create spaces in the Infinity Castle just by playing her biwa. Using her Blood Demon Art, Nakime can create an infinite amount of spaces and rooms and even portals to help other Demons.

5. Akaza

Akaza is one of the Upper Rank 3 Demons with an impressive set of abilities. He can defeat any Demon Slayer with ease given that he’s exceptional at fighting with his bare hands. Akaza can even kill one of the strongest Hashiras in Kimetsu no Yaiba!

4. Nezuko

Nezuko is Tanjiro’s little sister who turned into a Demon after Muzan attacked and slain the Kamados. In her Demon form, Nezuko has enhanced physical strength and abilities, she can grow her abilities without any training or consuming humans.

She also has a powerful regeneration ability similar to the Upper Moon Demons have, and even manipulates her body size. She also developed a Blood Demon Art that gives her pyrokinetic powers to inflict damage on Upper Moon Demons. Nezuko is also the first and only Demon that doesn’t get affected by sunlight.

3. Douma

As the Upper Rank 2 Demon, Doma is definitely more powerful than Akaza. Doma can adapt to the wisteria poison, which is usually lethal for Demons. 

Doma is considered the third strongest Demons in this series. The combination of his fighting techniques allows him to deal with the Hashiras of Tanjiro’s class with ease. In the past, he also defeated Kanae Kocho, the previous Flower Hashira, and the late Shinobu’s older sister.

2. Kokushibo

Unlike most Demons in general, Kokushibo possesses a Breathing Style like the Demon Slayers. Kokushibo is terrifyingly powerful that made even one of the strongest Hashiras, Gyomei Himejima, helpless to deal with him.

1. Muzan Kibutsuji

As a pure Demon, Muzan is the strongest Demons in Kimetsu no Yaiba. Muzan is almost impossible to beat as he’d stay alive even when he’s beheaded.
