Attack on Titan's protagonist, Eren Yeager, is perhaps the most powerful character in the story. Shortly after losing his home and witnessing his mother's death, his father gave him the powers of the Founding and Attack Titans. However, Eren would not be able to use this ability until his first actual battle with the Titans.

After learning the truth, he eventually inherits the War Hammer Titan, which gives him even more abilities. Unfortunately, Eren's character arc turned a bit dark around Season 3. Hardening & Unhardening

Hardening is a rare power that only the Nine Titans can access. Eren exploits this technique to seal a giant hole in Wall Maria, temporarily providing respite for the residents of Paradis. Eren can create weapons using the hardening he used during the Liberio Invasion.

Eren also used his unhardening ability to save his friends in the cave beneath Reiss Chapel. He then unsealed Wall Maria, Rose, and Sheena, awakening thousands of Colossal Titans from their slumber. This event accidentally released the crystal cocoon surrounding Annie's body, freeing her from that state for three years.

Revealing the Future

While not his strongest ability, revealing the future to the former Attack Titan heir is one of Eren's most important powers. As Eren and Zeke go through their father's memories, they see Grisha confronting Frieda Reiss and her family. However, he was hesitant to kill Reiss' children until Eren ordered him to.

Eren also shows Grisha special footage from the future which convinces him to give Eren the Founding and Attack Titans. This creates a time loop that allows Eren to become the Titan Shifter in the first place. If it weren't for this ability, the Marleyan Warriors might have been able to seize the Founding Titan.

Rapid Healing

Eren has been in countless dangerous situations, more so than most of his friends and foes. If he didn't activate the Attack Titan at the right time, he would definitely perish in the stomach of another Titan. Luckily for him, he was able to survive almost any injury with incredible healing.

Interestingly, this ability applies to Eren and Attack Titan. Eren in human form can have all four limbs amputated and still be able to regrow them within minutes or hours. That said, all of the Nine Titans have identical healing powers, so Eren isn't too special in this regard.

Controlling Pure Titans

Even though Eren tries the Smiling Titan and tries to attack him, Hannes intervenes and saves his life. As Hannes was killed and eaten, Eren rushed towards the Smiling Titan and punched his palm.

This accidentally triggers the Founding Titan's power which channels Eren's anger to all the Pure Titans around him. The Smiling Titan was quickly surrounded and torn apart. Eren also orders the Pure Titans to go after the Armored and Colossal Titans.

Resurrecting the Nine Titans

Eren marches across the world with an army of Colossal Titans at his back, but the remaining troops refuse to let him through. However, his friends and allies freak out when Eren resurrects the previous Nine Titans, including Bertholdt and Grisha.

Some fans suggest that this power was originally used by Ymir Fritz and not Eren.

Future Vision

Eren suddenly saw the future when he touched Historia's hand. He gains memories of his older self, similar to what he later did with the former Attack Titan heir. Sadly, the future Eren saw shattered his life and turned him into the world's greatest threat.

Despite wanting to save his friends, Eren cannot refuse his fate, as he has no choice but to stick to the predetermined timeline.

Martial Artistry

Eren's abilities are not limited to his Titan form. Instead, he has consistently established himself as a skilled fighter in a variety of techniques including hand-to-hand combat. Eren monitors his fighting skills after joining the 104th squad, where he fights on equal terms with Reiner and Annie.

Eren may be relatively small compared to Jean and Bertholdt, but his fiery conviction gives him the strength to push his own limits.
