Six months have passed since the premiere of Avenger: Endgame but the movie left a big impact on today’s pop culture. The movie is so impactful that a citizen of Forte dei Marmi in the province of Tuscany in Italy build a monument to honor Iron Man that died at the end of Endgame.

The monument is built by artist Daniele Basso and is apart of an exhibition called Oltre Verso that started on August 9th this year. Daniele named his work as “Man of Steel”, obviously the work did not refer to other the superhero owned by DC but rather to Iron Man’s armor and also the material made to build the statue.

There’s a plate on the monument that said “ This is the monument dedicated to Iron man in the year he died in the MCU. We remember Tony Stark as a figure that dedicates his wealth fighting for what he believes in”.

Through his monument, the artist hopes that everybody can be a hero that brings goodness to humanity. “This memorandum serves as a reminder that we are heroes, the future of humanity depends on our fight. We have to be a Superhero!” said Daniele.

Iron Man’s death after saving the universe in Endgame is unforgettable for MCU fans. Especially knowing that Tony Stark, played by Robert Downey Jr., was an iconic character and held responsible for starting the superhero movie boom.

Just like how Spider-Man fans that’s grieving after their idol left MCU, what Daniele has done is normal. Even it’s just a fictional character, Iron Man left big influence on his fans.
