Kisaki Tetta is one of the main antagonists in Tokyo Revengers as well as the main source of all the problems that would transpire in the future. Including the death of Hinata Tachibana. 

But, what motivated Kisaki Tetta from doing these evil things, and what made him become an antagonist in Tokyo Revengers? Without further ado, let’s get into it. 

What Made Kisaki So Hateful

When he was a child, Kisaki became close friends with Hinata Tachibana. They went to the same school. And, because of his brilliance, Kisaki was always at the top of his class in terms of grades. As a result, other students started to avoid him, which made Kisaki feel isolated. However, Hinata was the only one who’s kind towards Kisaki. Kisaki was deeply touched and began to fall in love with her.

One day, when Kisaki was walking home, he saw Hinata being bullied by a group of people. Instead of saving her, Kisaki got scared and was cowering behind a wall, just witnessing. All of a sudden, Takemichi came up and fight the bullies. Seeing Hinata’s awe towards Takemichi’s bravery, Kisaki realized that Hinata fell in love with Takemichi. This was the source of his deep hatred towards Takemichi, whom Kisaki believed has stolen Hinata’s attention.

Kisaki then aspired to become the number 1 delinquent in Japan, and he’s willing to do whatever it takes to achieve his goal of regaining Hinata’s attention.

Kisaki is a ruthless, cunning, and ambitious individual who will stop at nothing to achieve his goals. Despite his average stature, his power to rule with fear makes even those stronger than he obey him. The entirety of his actions in the entire story revolves around becoming the most powerful and influential criminal in Tokyo.

Kisaki doesn't care about his subordinates nor superiors, seeing both groups as means to achieve his success. In fact, he sees almost everyone as an object for him to be manipulated. He's willing to incriminate others or even make them sacrifice their lives in order for him to escape the law or further his plans.

Kisaki’s Reason for Killing Hinata in the Future

Kisaki’s backstory and motivation are all connected to what prompted him of killing Hinata in the future. Kisaki would later achieve his goal of becoming the number 1 criminal in Japan, and he proposed to Hinata. However, Hinata refused his proposal, which prompted Kisaki of killing Hinata.

Yup, the main reason that made Kisaki so evil is his obsession with Hinata and his jealousy of seeing her with Takemichi.
