RRQ’s loss to BTR has been one of the most surprising outcomes of MPL ID Season 15. No one had expected RRQ Hoshi, who had been showing dominant form, to fall in the closing match of Week 4 against Bigetron.

RRQ had been the most dominant team so far in MPL ID S15. They had secured six consecutive victories—even defeating EVOS convincingly in the same week.

But suddenly, RRQ have suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of BTR. The result has been unexpected, especially considering RRQ had been on fire, while BTR had just brought in a new roamer—Finn.

With Finn, BTR have found their momentum. RRQ have been completely shut down in just two games. BTR have showcased an equally aggressive gameplay and seemed to have deliberately targeted Rinz as part of their plan.

RRQ’s Loss to BTR Has Been Caused by This

RRQ’s defeat to BTR has been addressed by coach Khezcute after the match. During the MPL interview segment, Khezcute has shared his thoughts.

He has admitted that there were several internal mistakes that have contributed to their loss against the Red Robots.

“It’s been a mix of our own mistakes. In game one, we’ve had doubts and lacked commitment. In game two, it’s just clock student stuff. Hazle wanted to play Fanny, I also wanted Fanny. That’s it,” said Khezcute.

“This loss has actually been good for me personally so we don’t get too overconfident, and we’ve also learned a lot. We’ve gotten insights into the mapping, playstyles, and gameplay of other teams as well,” he added.

It will be interesting to see how RRQ bounce back in the upcoming weeks. In Week 4, there has already been a noticeable dip in their overall gameplay. Even in the match against EVOS, had Erlan not made that blunder, RRQ might have fallen there too.
